So...I understand this may be done for balancing issues. But am I the only one who finds it a little ridiculous that you can't use both double and single heat sinks? I have a laser boat mech that has 5 tons open and 2 2 slot opennings, and in my opinion, if you're good enough to stack your mech and spend the upgrades on it you should be able to add 4 tons of single heat sinks.

We already have to spend 1.5 mil on double heat sinks, in my opinion that's enough of a limiter.

Now this may just be my old school mech pilot bias but I like as much customization as possible, and while I agree with the hardpoint sytsem and most of the games balancing I just want other opinions before I complain to the dev or incase this has been disputed before.

TL;DR Do you or do you not agree

That we should be aloud to put 1 slot 1 ton heatsinks on in tandem with 3 slot double heatsinks (that weigh 1 ton each)?

All I'm asking for is opinions.

The reason in BT lore, as I understand it, is that the cooling fluid is different, and thus you'd need to have two separate coolant networks.

Could be interesting.

This is more of a TT balance kind of thing though. You have never been able to mix them, in any iteration of the game they have been in.

No, we should not be ALOUD to do that.

I ran into this issue on one of my Hunchbacks, and ended up going with a larger engine to fill in the extra weight. In turn, this gave me more heat sinks and better heat efficiency.

However, to answer your question, I wouldn't mind seeing this in the game. It would allow you to put heat sinks back into your legs, but as was said before, it's not been allowed in any other part of the BT universe.

Because DHS aren't really viable in some builds?
