I saw some ppl using it, and i wonder if PGI tolerate it. it's not a cheat.

I don't post a link to it, i don't want to break the code of conduct (just google it :))

Assuming they understand what SweetFX is. My guess is that it's OK since all it does is adjust tenderer shading on the client side. Back in the MW3 leagues we used to patch the game all the time for no cockpit/no cd and it was never an issue.

Gives you more render settings for a game, a very popular graphics mod that works for many games. I tried to get it to work for MWO myself, but I'm too stupid, or it was late, or something like that.

quote form a guy who quoted a guy who quoted a guy who quoted a guy:

To make Sweetfx run, copy the dll files and injector.ini into the Bin32 folder of MechWarrior Online. The rest needs to be placed in the MechWarrior Online folder. It will auto run when the game starts and you can turn it on/off during gameplay by pressing Scroll Lock. You can also alter the settings txt file during gameplay and instantly see the changes it makes (Just save the settings file, changes will show when you alt-tab into the game again).

They'll probably ask that you don't like they ask that you don't use the Film Grain remover that I brought over from CB (I didn't make it).

Regardless, I very much doubt they can even check to see if you're using it since PGI doesn't appear to have the manpower to enable such security measures.

You can not alter the color as intensly as SweetFX does in some of the screenshots of it I've seen just by changing your monitor's settings.

Now that they have adjusted the colors imo the game looks much better. I do not need the color settings from sweetfx anymore, but what I do need is the sharpening filter. The game looks great if you sharpen up the image a bit, try these settings and disable all other settings:

/*-----------------------------------------------------------.
/ LumaSharpen settings /
'-----------------------------------------------------------*/
// -- Sharpening --
#define sharp_strength 0.60 // [0.10 to 3.00] Strength of the sharpening
#define sharp_clamp 0.035 // [0.000 to 1.000] Limits maximum amount of sharpening a pixel recieves - Default is 0.035

// -- Advanced sharpening settings --
#define pattern 2 // [1|2|3|4] Choose a sample pattern. 1 = Fast, 2 = Normal, 3 = Wider, 4 = Pyramid shaped.
#define offset_bias 1.0 // [0.0 to 6.0] Offset bias adjusts the radius of the sampling pattern.
// I designed the pattern for offset_bias 1.0, but feel free to experiment.

// -- Debug sharpening settings --
#define show_sharpen 0 // [0 or 1] Visualize the strength of the sharpen (multiplied by 4 to see it better)

I do not think that it should be allowed as it really clears up the screen, thereby granting an unfair advantage to players that utilize it.

If it was single player? Sure. But an online only game? No.

I spoke with PGI since then who told me it was OK.
And, believe me, it does not help you in any way (except that my eyes are not melting anymore because of the omnipresent blur)

Since last patch, the game is a lot different now. Devs oversatured the colors making the game more cartoonish, if you use sweetfx, the colors will turn like a Pokemon cartoon.
