Is it just me or does it seem that with all the fixes, things are dying faster nowadays? Better netcode meant better hit detection and the game feels more arcade-like after patch since mechs are dying left and right.

Average game time seems to be lower too.

Or is this simply because we have an influx of new player who tend to die faster?

Noticed this as well, I think it may have to do with the revamped (fixed) crit system for when armour is gone, it seems now the second armour is gone you can kiss that part goodbye.

Bad players that relied on lagsheild are not lasting as long. All those bad habits they picked up are biting them in the buttocks. Just wait till collision is put back in......

Also they fixed a lot of the damage detection when you get hit in the back. Before not all of it would register so it took a lot longer to kill things from behind.

ACs properly show hits and misses, so they seem a lot more accurate.
People who have good mechs are boating or running good configs, period.
There's a ranged gun that works now, in the PPC.
Lights aren't completely untouchable, and most who play the game even in casual fashion know to sweep their legs.

I feel like the guys above that is becoming easier and faster to die, kinda reminds me of playing "call of duty" i really liked it better before when it took longer to die, more like fighting in an armored tank but i can only see this getting worse with indirect fire strikes and higher damage weapons coming in the future.

Also the fighting goes quicker but the new beginning and end game screens have made it alot longer battle time which makes it tough to crank out matches constantly waiting for the mech to get out of battle.

It never took a long time to die in this game. If it did, you were doing something wrong on your end. There's not a lot of 'more powerful,' or even many higher damage weapons coming.

Clan large pulses might be set to some 12 damage, but that's about it. UAC20s? Not gonna be able to maintain ultra mode for long with that tiny ammo supply.

You're all also forgetting that the majority of players have been here for a very, very long time now.

Before you could come with 3L and dance around whole team.

Now, last time enemy did that he was dead in 10 seconds. Poor 3L.

Ugliest mech ever. Looks like Oprah trying to be a rock star, before she lost weight.

Devs, can you take a peek on the numbers please? See if game time has become shorter, or the average lifetime of mechs in a game.

If it has gotten shorter, perhaps some number tweaking is needed. I don't want this game to feel like hawken.

They'd need to add respawns, suck out all the color, all the trees, and run a live-action series about the hawken virus before that happens.
