Customization is only my second love compared to sitting in the seat. Though it is a true joy to make a mech to your specs it is a wonder to watch your creations come to life.... and bring death.

I really like messing around with customisation, trying to make the best loadout but once I find a setup I like I rarely switch it up. Then I go shoot things.

Spending a lot of time on my 'Mechs is great, but it's always amazing to take my baby onto the battlefield for the very first time. I always like to test my new designs out extensively. That way I can change/modify them if needed, which happens fairly often. I think the lab is going to be half of the fun for me in MWO, if not more!

A few visits to the 'lab till I get things dialed in, then keep the rig I like. No sense messing with what works for you after it's set up. Hammer the bugs out and then go tear up something

Love the mechlab and piloting... both combine to make the Mechwarrior experience for me.

The thing I loved about Chrome Hounds was the complete customization. Didn't like the legs, arms, torso or weapons? swap 'em out. I know that won't be possible in this game.
That said, I do love to tinker and test and find something that really rocks on the battlefield.

Chromehounds was such an amazing game. Customization was unreal. The Persistent War, economy, elections, etc were awesome, and above all the game play was great and REQUIRED teamwork.
Second favorite Mech game of all time.

As the mechlab is based off the TRO's it would seem, with perhaps a few extra hardpoints, I've already set up configs in SSW. Just need to play the game to decide which ones to build. More than likely they won't be much different from lots of other peoples builds.

step 1: get beta key
step 2: play
step 3: worry about the lab
step 2: play
step 3: worry about the lab
