they have kinda good mix of firepower speed and armor but dont shine in either which in current state of game is their undoing as atm its best to be either fast as hell or heavyly armed and armored...
in general if u want balanced mix of all these its better to go for cat or pracht though they are considerably slower than mediums
so yea any of cent, hunch and dragon should get some of those quirks
you can continue discussing flaming or w/e

The Centurion has massive arms on a nimble upper body while his legs are more or less the same size compared to the Hunchback. The Hunchback has rather tiny arms on a thick upper body, legs the same as Centurion as mentioned.
So the arm-torso-armor-distribution should be so that the Centurion has more on it's arms and less on it's torso, while the Hunchback should have more on the torso and less on the arms.
I'd also make sense from a hardpoint perspective since the Centurion usually has a big weapon mounted in it's arms while the Hunchback has not. It on the other hand as a huge weapon box that could really need some extra protection.
That'll set the two mechs apart without changing their overall protection.

This is the case for a number of different mechs and honestly I'd love to see tweaks for unloved variants to come out tomorrow if it were possible. JR7-Ks, RVN-2Xs, HBK-4Js, and others cry out for justice.

That's a terrible idea. Less armor on a centurions torso just makes it even easier to blow off that torso thus removing the arm as well. More armor on the arms won't stop centurions from losing their primary weapons just as fast.

A Cent pilot could still sport the same frontal armor on its mech, for sacrificing much more of it's rear armor of course. And more armor on the arms will definitely make the arms survive longer. Because there's more armor...do I really have to explain that. O_o
Hey, were's talking about differences here and handicaps are a part of that.
Much more often do I see Cents without their arms than Hunchies without theirs. Zombies, ya know?

Not necessarily, if 'more armor on the arms' comes at the cost of 'less armor on the torso'. Arms can get blown off by shooting the arm, but arms can just as easily get blown off by losing the torso as well. I do generally lose my arms before the side torsos, but not by *that* much. If you take, say, 10 points off the max torso armor and add it to the max arm armor, all that will change is that the side torsos will then be blown off first and the arm won't survive any longer overall. And I don't know about you, but *my* centurion's main battery is in its left torso, not its arm. I don't want that blowing off any sooner!

The arms are worthless, and if you lower the armor they can put on the torso, well...people blow the torsos off, ignoring the arm, but still cutting it off.
So no. Not a good idea.
