Started running 5 medium pulse in my TBT-5J, noticing that it seems to be doing paltry damage when I group fire them, and significantly more damage when I chain fire them. Compared to even 4 medium lasers the damage difference is highly noticable. Unless lag shield has returned with a vengeance and has made the hit indicator a liar, I was able to pump 5 alpha strikes into a cicada's LT and only turn the armor orange.

Is anyone else noticing this? He wasn't moving ridiculously fast and was well within max range (about 60-120m most of the fight). his 3 medium pulse where outperforming my 5.

Just confirmed the same phenomenon in another match against a raven, and witnessed it happening to teammates shooting a commando. It seems lagshield is back or speed is directly throwing off damage calculations. the hit indicator is lighting up like it's a hit though. Slow enemies seem to take full or at least high damage.

Also had the feeling that the lagshield is back.

Combined with the ping in Europe (is always around 120, whereas on local servers in other games i constantly get not more than 15) this is really frustrating ...

After more careful examination, it seems even slow opponents aren't taking full damage. Pelted a Stalker right in the middle of his nose and his armor didn't even change color... he was sitting still looking right at me. This has to be a recurrence of the 'multiple shots on one section only register partial damage' bug, it's just more annoying on lights.

I posted about this last night. Took me 6 rounds of 2 ml, 2 ml, 1 ml grouped alphas, to get through a single leg on an afk but still connected atlas. This is versus the 2.5-3 a leg for an atlas pre-2/20 (damage was registering fine on 2/19).

Lagshield is back and in full fail. With anything moving laterally across my fov I'm getting red crosshair feedback but no pulsing on the enemy paperdoll. Leading still works.

I guess it's time to start chain firing or making fun builds with lots of different weapons. Never liked what boating and huge alpha does to this game anyway.

I have mine in 3 separate groups - Left MLas x2, Right MLas x2, CT MLas x1, fire left, fire right, fire center and repeat. Half the damage wasn't counting.

Same, 4 PPC, 2 times on the RCT of a slow atlas walking directly away from me, little to no damage. I started chain firing and it took damage.

This somtimes happens with my LRMS. You will notice though that it only happen with that one guy in the match, maby 2. If you fire at other people you hit full on. I think it has something to do with netcode and not lagshield.

Interesting.
I've been feeling like my weapons aren't giving the punch they should the past few days, and I almost exclusively group-fire. A few things like my lol'Ilya with 3LB-X; Goofy yes, but after 6-8 30point alphas from 150m or so, they should be a little more than orange I think >.>
I'll play a few matches with chainfire on using the same Mechs and see if my damage goes up.

Sounds like it is time for a demo movie. Who wants to step up and get a team kill to prove the bug? Heck... you could just De-arm your friend and not even get a TK.

I tried to see the difference with some SRMs, and I didn't notice one. (That doesn't, of course, rule out the possibility of me just not noticing it.) My ping tends to be very low, around 30. Do people experiencing this issue normally have high ping?

seems fine, i normally use disconnected players for target practice and my 4xLL catapult is able to one shot headshot mechs. My jenner isnt tall enough to take headshots so i leg those ones, the amount of volleys for 5 ML's seems about right.

This is probably due to lag/desync of some sort aka lagshield. I dont think some people realise, they can fix the netcode all they want there is still latency that you can't get around so it will always exist to a certain extent (unless they give the client full control, but that wont happen for a number of hacking reasons).

Getting some odd stuttering and lag tonight. Last night, everything was fine.

Weapons just feel...soft, game keeps jumping, ping is 100+, for a total of 175-200 instead of the normal 90-100 I'm used to seeing. Almost unplayable...

Tested on an AFK cataphract, took 48 SRMs (2xSRM6, 4 hits) and four volleys of 4xMLAS to the center torso at 10m to kill center torso.
