Mkay, I am not sure what disturbs me more... the fact that there is this much Pony stuff floating around the web or the fact that you guys seem to be able to post a constant (and endless) supply of it?!?!?!?!

When you mess with Derpy, love and tolerance ends apparently.

That's just awesome. However, I'm sure if Hylius were to see this he'd probably point out that because Ponies are so awesome they are able to ignore the laws of physics. As for the Sonic Rainboom...well...its 20% cooler that way. :)

No, actually, I'll tell you why the presenter is wrong.

First, we are talking about the land of Equestria, which is not known to be the same planet, nor indeed the same reality/dimension/universe, as Earth. Thus, assumptions using Earth physics are already thrown out the window. Characteristics of sound and light may be quite different here. I mean, come on. There's freakin' MAGIC going on here. As he himself said in the first minute or so: "You can't just assume things!"

Second, let's assume the majority of Earth physics holds. There are a lot of assumptions about Pegasi being of equal mass to Earth ponies (both Equestrian Earth and Earth Earth.) This is flat out wrong. Obviously for Pegasi to fly as they do, using normal Earth physics, their mass must be much much less than an Earth pony. Especially to carry the loads that they do and to travel at such speeds. It's like assuming a bird and cat of equal size have the same mass. They don't. Different bone structures and such.

Third, as mentioned in the first. Freakin'. Magic. Man. They got the magic of friendship. Physicists are inherently loners, spending their time in labs. I mean, look at Gordon Freeman. He kills 99% of the people he meets and leave the other 1% to go off by himself. Freakin' physicists don't know crap about the magic of friendship.

Come on, my degree is in CS, not physics, and I can debunk this stuff.*

*Note, the above post was written with a large amount of sarcasm, an extremely fatigued body/mind, and was done around midnight. If you actually take it seriously, I hereby disclaim all responsibility. Just havin' fun with it people, and my sleep-deprived brain is having a fit. Chill.

Okay, okay. You win.

I guess this is also why I almost failed physics...twice.
