I assume most people are just copying the links like this which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

When it doesn't work you need to do is put http:// infront of the address and add the [media][/media] tags manually.

[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7uy-zfrkf4[media] Add the / in the second [/media] hasn't failed me yet.
