Also, I just thought of something. There's been a lot of build up with the equestrian games in the show recently, and the winter Olympics is just around the corner! Even where they're being held is similar: both frigid nations in the north, both have evil rulers- I mean ALL HAIL PRINCESS CADENCE!

Yeah, my face probably looked something like Pinkie's smile from the flashback in The Cutie Mark Chronicles when that happened.
Rainbow's expression after she started singing also deserves a mention.

The only worse part about the episode were the lyrics of the first song. The fact she basically bragged about being generous kinda ruins the moment for me and "generosity" itself doesn't make that great of a singing material.

The reprise, on the other hand...

Yep, they're also writing scripts a season prior.

Yes, season 5 is being made as we speak. The more so, considering this is a full 26-episode one- and quite likely at least a 13-episode season 6, as they tend to go in blocks of 2 1/2.

Clearly, since there are no other patterns so named, the devs have decided Applejack is Best Pony Robot. I shall hope for a "Sweet Bot" paint pattern that rectifies this.

IDK, I'd prefer if it stayed just as a nice reference to an older gen instead of full-blown S4-ification of them.
Not that moth ponies are bad or ugly, it's just the general concept of fairy ponies isn't right up my alley.
And references should stay references.
