I know, been a while, didn't have enough time lately, and I also bought myself a new tablet. It's kinda hard to get used to the increased sensitivity of the new one.
Anyway, still nothing overly fancy yet, I'm going to use the right head for a first drawing of the complete pony, already got body and legs, but now I need to come up with a mane and tail... I also already came up with a cutie mark! ^^

Feedback will be appreciated, as always! And I mean any kind of feedback... ^^

Keep up the good work man! Practice makes perfect, and I can tell you from experience that learning pony anatomy is hard! Pony legs, how do they work?!

I've been using this guide that someone posted in the thread a while back as a reference myself, really helpful in my opinion.

I actually dug up that tut quite a while ago, before I even started with this... first time I saw the sketches of the legs in that one, I actually thought: "***? that bonestructure doesn't look legit!" But once you think about it, and how a pony/horse-leg may be compared to a human arm or leg, it actually starts to make sense...
Using that tut, I think figured out what the legs should look like, only had a little problem with scale, but fortunately, due to myself using layers en masse scaling and repositioning them was easy...
Once I come up with a fitting mane and tail, and actually drew the cutie-mark, I'll post it here, and you'll see.
I think the proportions are about right, the way I got them currently.

Aresye posted another tut along with the one you just posted which I also found quite interessting, any chance one of you knows the one I'm talking about? I'm currently too lazy to dig it up here... ^^

As for pony art anatomy, there is so much pony on the web, you should be able to find any given aspect and ratio you are looking for in your own bid to add some pony to the web.

Well, duh. They managed plenty of Powerpuff Girls refs in it too. Faust did story work for PPG, that's connected to Samurai Jack, after all (heck, SJ is the post-Aku-wins-apocalpyse of the PPG universe:



Faust and company are VERY good at tying nods from one series into another one.

I'd actually be working on my OC if I hadn't been doing creative stuff all afternoon, and wasn't "kinda drunk"...
Man, I know I'm gonna regret most of what I say now by tomorrow, but whatever, hopefully we'll reach another page before tomorrow, so I don't have to read all the crap I posted...
