Too each their own as far as the apple.mov vid is concerned. I personally don't think it's too great but then i didn't like ren and stimpy or square bob.

apple.mov was made by a brony, and is more of a parody of the type of animation shown in Ren and Stimpy, instead of making fun of the show. I personally loved it, but I can agree that those that didn't enjoy the disturbing looks of Ren and Stimpy probably won't like it.

All depends on if you hit normal pony boards. Most of my post comes from content found on equiestria daily.

Ah, cool. I check EQD as often as I do my email, so as long as you don't pick too much content from ponibooru or the chan boards I should be on tack.

And ohsweetcelestia not dancing spore creatures. Half the time they look cool, and the rest give me nightmares. But it does look somewhat like the pic I suppose. I think it was supposed to be a dancing Crab, but there's not too much detail given, so I can't be sure.
