Basically I'm asking if I have to sit as a spectator for the whole of the match Or can I leave and still get my XP and Credits when it finishes?

I know it seems a bit bad leaving the team mates, but as a beginner when I get my head taken off at long range in the Trial Mech Catapult after 1minute, it doesn't make for a fun game to sit out the other 14...

from what I've read.. if you quit of your own volition (not dead), you only get credit up to where you quit. If you die, you get full round xp/cbills you'd have gotten if you sat in spectator mode.

I've not really gone and proved it, but it was from the devs, so.. it seems it doesn't matter if you leave or stay once you're already dead. Staying is just to learn from others.

I believe that the above answer is correct. If you get whacked, and then exit, your c bills and XP will "catch up to you" when the game ends and the mech is released.

Remember that the mech that you started the match in will stay locked until that match is over.

Thats great news. No problem with the locked mech, just didn't want to lose my cbills/XP if I exited after dying. Thank you

I have learned a lot by staying on and watching more experienced players fight. Plus, fun! Also, the Youtube videos that some Mechwarriors make have been real helpful too.

if you leave before you die your not to get any thing at lest that what they told us 5 or so patches back

You get full xp. I've killed then logged without even dying, just dropped connection, and the xp for the win came to me anyways. Coversely, one game I had 4 kills, probably some assists but had to log out as a streak raven and a streak command were being mopped up by the rest of my team, 4 heavy and assault mechs. When I came back and looked at pilot lab, there was much less Xp than I expected from a win where I had 4 kills. Asking members of that group, they told me they lost because when I took my ecm out of game, the raven and commando surviving from the enemy finished all 4 of them off, unbelievably. I felt badly.

no, but a battlelog is a planned feature
