Because that's what you're asking.
Instead what you did is call out anyone who ever is critical of their team, which is flamebaiting.

First, it's two things. Play the team you're dealt even when they don't follow and second don't be a jerk in chat. It's not flamebaiting. I'm surprised it got the response it did but perhaps I shouldn't be.
Second, if you're more than a couple hundred matches into playing the game and you're winning less than 40 or 50% of the time while pugging maybe you want to re-evaluate how you play with your team. People who do well pugging are not winning because they are so uber amazing on their own. It's because they're good at helping organize or at least work with their team regardless of how they play.
I've certainly been guilty of it. Of course it's frustrating when your team scatters or makes poor choices, but it's your team. Work with it and see what you can pull off. If you manage 1 extra won match out of 20 that would have been lost anyway you just bumped yours and their win rate by 5%.
Plus, yeah. Don't be a jerk in chat.

With my damage score that is more than double my entire team's combined score.
With the only kills on the board for my team are mine.
It has nothing to do with my team having at least half it's members not putting up more than 50 damage points in a match?
It's me? really? I should maybe try and see if I can also not break 50 damage in a match then?
Let's be brutaly honest there are droves of uttery mindbogglingly incompitent players in the PuG ques and I am not to blame for their complete lack of talent.
One skilled player can only do so much before the odds are grim when what is left of your team is busy humping furniture or licking the windows or whatever they do because god knows they sure as hell are not fighting the enemy.

Or your base is being capped out, and they do the genius maneuver of standing just outside the redsquare, shooting in the general direction of what is capping you out and not hitting it, instead of standing in the cap when the team is returning to help, and has yelled at the ***** doing this in chat multiple times to get in the red square.
At times like these, it is absolutely acceptable to call these people out on being the blithering morons that they are.

Games where 7 out of 8 people on the same team are complete noobs who don't know which button fires what are as rare as hens teeth. If you're playing games where every single member of your team but you seems clueless then, well, it's you. Really. All the rest of us see that like 1 in 50 games. Now, 1 or 2 people running off happens 2/3rds of the time but so what? use them as a distraction. If everyone scatters off and you scatter as well but 'you're running off with a plan, because everyone else on my team is an *****'....
well, you're probably part of the problem.
50%. if you're not winning ~50% of the time pugging you're probably not playing that well with your team, perhaps you should re-evaluate how you do so.
If you're insulting your teammates in chat you're absolutely part of the problem because you're proving that some people aren't worth teaming up with. Why should they bother listening to someones suggestion in chat when that person just shows themselves to be a jackass?
it's actually possible to convey information intelligently and respectfully. Doing so gets people to listen. Being a jerk just teaches people to ignore you.
Turning 1 out of 20 games that would have certainly have been a loss into a win because you quit trying to force people to do what you want and instead just followed or supported is a 5% shift in your win/loss. That's pretty significant.

Bullsh*t. I call bullsh*t.
When an LRM boat is firing LRMs at a mech 40m in front of it, thats clueless.
When an Atlas runs into the open alone, against 6-8 enemy mechs and leaves your team without ECM, thats clueless.
When a six PPC stalker runs off by itself and dies against 1 light, thats clueless.
When a raven CL runs off alone and doesn't toggle their ECM EVER, and dies in the first minute of the match, thats clueless.
When your entire team goes 7 different ways and your the only one smart enough to team up with one of them, thats your team, not you.
When your doing 400-900 damage per match and the rest of your team is doing 0-150 damage per match, that isn't you, its your team.
You can only suggest a plan. One out of ten teams will actually listen in my experience. Not to mention that 1-2 mechs going off alone and dying in the first minute puts you at an extreme disadvantage and could very well lose the match for you. Most matches in my experience are won by 2-3 players carrying the entire team. Sometimes you get a great team and everyone pulls their weight and thank god for all the competent players out there, but that is rare.
If someone is playing like trash, I'm going to tell them. They don't listen to suggestions or constructive criticism, so why waste your time. Telling someone they shouldn't run off alone with only 4 LRM15s and being told to "s tfu" is the norm for the games I play. So why bother being nice about it anymore ?
Sometimes you have a bad game and thats one thing. However, there is a BIG difference between having a bad game and playing like a complete moron.
