So, I have my computer set up in our living room where lots of people are. My game sounds aren't an issue, so we can listen to music etc, but I'm not really comfortable with having the teamspeak sound booming out to everyone in the room - it both feels kinda rude to everyone involved, and may cause echoing in teamspeak.

So I want to use headphones for the teamspeak sound _only_ and have all other sound come out of the speakers.

Anyone has any ideas on how to do this in Windows 7? I have two outputs from my motherboard, but don't know how they should be configured. Can't find any options for it and my (admittedly questionable) google-fu has failed to yield me any answers.

Thanks a lot for any aid.

EDIT: ******* I'm stupid. Found out how to do it now. Please ignore post xD

you might look into a program called virtual audio cable (http://software.muzy...net/eng/vac.htm) I have not used it myself, but a bunch of twitch streamers use it to to they can keep the music they play off their streams.

You can get a usb sound device, some headphones come with one.
Then you can set TS or C3 to use the second sound device for voice that is what i do i got my set for around 40 bucks http://us.store.crea.../B0041OQKIC.htm

My sound splits between speakers and headphones and I DON'T want this happen.

Running Win7 64 bit.

The weird thing is I get the sound through my headphones when I don't have TS running. But with TS running I get sound through my laptop speakers and TS though my headphones.

This. I use realtek onboard audio for game sound, and have a Creative USB sound card for TS. Simply install the USB card, set the sound options to use it as default COMMUNICATIONS device, and away you go ^^

I was able to fix my problem by going into the sound properities. Should have looked there first. derp
