So I just played with someone whose faction alignment was with PGI. I won't name him in fear of being unjustly banned or something but he played a spider 5V, said he only had a tag, and basically flew around the map being useless. Every teammate matters in this game, but there will always be trolls who dont bother actually playing the game. I know it you should also have fun playing, seeing as it is a game, but why am I not surprised that someone connected with PGI would be a useless troll player wasting a teammate. He did 16 damage to my 800 and naturally we lost. Not the fault of any one player but their two ECM spiders were actually playing.

It might have been a bug, as errors with wrong faction alignments being displayed as been reported. but this is a funny occurance either way. (it was paul) hehe

Maybe he was doing field reconnaissance as part of his job. Like a surveyor.

Probably a bug. My in-game Faction display has me listed as Staff too.

One of our members just runs around with a Tag and NARC Commando, whats kind of funny though is that even though it shows he has done 0 damage he still ends up with the third or second highest points over all. And he does help our LRM guys.

If everyone else is allowed to run around in 4 Machine Gun CTF-4X's, I see no reason why PGI staff can't play a TAG Spider.

Actually, collision damage is still in, I think. You just don't see much of it. He probably slammed into an enemy mech once or twice and did that 18 damage.

I remember back when I killed a Hunchback by ramming it with my fully armored but weaponless Dragon (mechlab save bug way back... just post-Dragon-Bowling). Got an Ammo critical with the ram and blew him the heck up. Laughed the rest of the match.
