UK ping is about 110-120 Ping which I have no problem and with since the netcode improvements again on the last patch it has got better.
The disadvantage is minor over US player but you have a minor advantage over more easterly players. Firing being server based.

Who votes "no" to a poll like this btw....you're either euro and want them or you're not and it makes no difference to you. What a douche.

They didn't. They said they were looking at it. Which historically in terms of announcements means they've done precisely nothing but saw people moaning on the forums about it

One does not simply power on a rack in the EU.
I understand that this is still beta, and I also understand that setting up EU servers itself isn't that big a thing. All the maintenance, people who want to transfer their accounts to EU etc. might be too big of a hit on the dev manpower at this time.
But I would sell my mother-in-law for EU servers, as I am normally used to get pings around 15-30 here in Germany, even when playing on UK servers, now I have 120-180. (Cable 150K).
My guess: We will see EU servers soon enough, as soon as the game is in a near-final state.

A: Each region is has its own database and unique user names. Regions do not play with or against each other.
Heroes of Newerth as a very close example (it's MOBA but based on a single instance server FPS engine)
One community, large playerbase, seperate eventual gameservers (by choice) Doesn't seem too hard to achieve but if I'm missing something then glad to be corrected!

Better location would be Poland, Czech Republic or something more in the middle of Europe.

Further - you then save a whole load of red herring feedback around lag/latency/accuracy/etc etc that/'s currently indicative of a mixed region pool.
There's possibly some legal/payment faff to nail but then so what. It's all in a good cause.

Fortunately though I'm not a clueless **** like those people and realise that the reality is a complex and reciprocal process in which nearly all aspects of the development and business teams would collaborate to design and implement such a setup.

Geography has a lot to do with it, but not the physical geography by the netograpgy or the geography of the network... make Germany a perfect EU location.

Colo and hosting costs in Germany are far higher than elsewhere in EU. Labour and skills are more expensive, transit isn't markedly comparative either despite scale and and the average performance of the euro under Germany's RPI and against both the USD and CAD add another layer of pain throughout. Basically you're entirely missing my point then making it again incorrectly because you are without any idea what you're talking about. Stop it.
I'm up for the one big fight thing though. Would be a shame if mwo cannot achieve what so many match games have in that sense.

We asked for European servers and UK is kind of an island almost in the middle of nowhere, so to speak.
Especially when we're talking about the radius of the distance that fits much better for something in the center of the Europe, than on the corner, wasting a lot of the potential on... water.
