As far as Clan 'Mechs go, I doubt we'll ever see any non-Omnis in MWO, but I'd love to pilot a Hunchback IIC.
Who needs to survive an engagement, anyway? Most men don't. Might as well go out with a bang.

I'd love to have a TImber Wolf. I don't need the rest.

I guess the best thing PGI could do to even things out would be to only allow standard configurations on Clan mechs. No changing load outs at all.

I'm not really sure what type of discussion you're looking for.

Clan mechs are superior in every measurable objective metric. Who wouldn't want to pilot one?

Except they aren't.

Assuming TT rules, you can't change the equipment (outside of podspace), their internals are locked, their engine's are locked, their armor type is locked, their armor amount and allocation is locked.

Go ahead and try to pilot a Loki in MWO, I'll laugh.

BANE

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Bane

10 auto AC2s, 4 MGs... swap them all out for 14 regular AC2s, 4 additional tons of ammo and an additional 2 tons of armor plus a 400 engine, and endosteel.

I will use whatever is best if it's clan tech then the IS crap gets totally dropped off the face of the IS
This is also why I hope we don't get to touch clan tech and not even play against clans in game.
Otherwise all the work I just did leveling was completely useless now that would **** me off.

I say that as nice as possible, but if you don't think PGI isn't going to sell Clan Mechs, and isn't going to do a Clan Founders type deal, you're cray-cray.

Maybe a Cauldron born.... but honestly, I would actually rather have a Blade, a Nyx, or Tsunami.... if available.
Not too much of a fan of the Clan designs myself.....

Then again, to me, clan tech is a bit OP anyways........ it's too easy to win with Clan against IS...... not guaranteed, but it is a stacked deck.

To me, it always felt like playing Battletech on Easy Mode........

I want a Masakri/War Hawk. Because nothing strikes fear into a mechwarriors heart like the apartment building that walks like a chicken.

:) nice comparison, but yes I would like to sit in that Mech, too! In addition to the Puma or the Vulture.

The Clan Mech superiority comes at a high cost - they are plain ugly visually unappealing.

Not really. Alex's art is absolutely stellar, I wouldn't bet on them looking stupid.

I would bet on them being tremendously gimped by TT rules.
