Name the funniest comments you ever saw/heard in a game.

Since learning what GL HF meant, I sometimes General Chat it before a match. Last Night, started on Frozen City and the following happened:
Me: GL HF
One of My Own Team: **** you and your glhf cuddly hugginess. (Not exact comment but similar.)
Another Player #1: GL HF
Another Player #2: GL HF
Another Player #3: GL HF
Another Player #4: GL HF
Another Player #5: GL HF
Another Player #6: GL HF
Another Player #7: GL HF
Another Player #8: GL HF

Followed by some comments about One of My Own Team. :P

How do PC gamers not know what these things mean?! Stop making me feel old! And GG should never be taken as an insult because you did poorly, you're way too sensitive if you perceive it that way! :)

*Walks away slowly with her walker, crying* :D

meh GLHF comments at start are ok...

ITS the damned GG after ur team just got pubstomped 8 to 0 with only 2 of ur team breaking 100dmg..

I mean really Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. What [REDACTED] can actually say that crap.. do ya just gotta rub in the nasty [REDACTED] u just handed out or somthing..

There is nothing that can be called good about a game when a match goes roflstomprs.. For either side.. cmon really grow up.

I'm a long-time LoL, HoN, and more recently a DotA player. Even if my team gets absolutely destroyed, I take a step back and consider the situation. Sure, maybe my team sucked, but if the enemy played well, made smart moves, and outplayed me at every turn, I will humbly accept defeat and congratulate them on a good game.

On the contrary, as the winner of a match, if I had fun and the enemy put up a good fight or continued to try playing despite unfavorable circumstances (disconnects, lag, a feeder/troll present, etc) then I will let out a GG and thank the enemy for playing the match instead of quitting or afking.

It's called sportsmanship!

Of course, there are times where you're right and people are just dicks and feel like adding a little flavor to their GG, such as "GG, newbs, "GG, eat my premdae dcik," or my favorite, "uninstall, newbs, gg."

Yeah, actually, you're right. **** people, I hate people. :)

We need more sportsmanship. PC gaming has always rocked better attitudes in that way, IMO.

I gg at the end of every game, even if I was on the stomping or the stomped team.

It's my way of saying "no hard feelings." to the winners and "no hard feelings?" to the losers. Obviously, a lot can get lost in the internet translation, but I like making an attempt to uphold the customs and forms of video game culture.

It's rude not to gg in StarCraft, no matter how big you won or lost. Not sure why MWO should be different.

EDIT: I always begin the game with "gf hl" (good fun, have luck - it still makes sense, I promise!). I used to award the "Best Name of the Game Award" to the player whose screen name made me smile the most, but it was too much work to type it all out every time.

Agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment. One matter of nitpicking is that in SC it is considered VERY rude to "offensively GG" by typing it when you are ahead. It is only acceptable to say as a way of tapping out, or of acknowledging the other player's politeness. A "gg wp" can indicate a high level of respect for your opponent by saying he played well.

I've regularly been puzzled by the fact that around here, it is more often than not first used by the winning team. But it doesn't seem to be done out of rudeness, and every subculture is different.

At the beginning of a match I lke to share some words of wisdom I obtained during my millenia of gaming with my teammates and my honored adversaries alike. Those gems of eloquent wiseassery are as follows:

"Do not fret, good citizens, a squad of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with the threat at hand."

or

"The plastic tips of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister."

Afterwards, I bask in the glow of no one's ever reverence and everyone's uncomfortable chat silence. Or I am called names. Kids these days, really..."

Once, I saw a commando on my team at the start of a match. He proceeded to scream "FOR BLAAAAAKE!" in the allchat, and rush into enemy lines. He got shot a few times and blew up like a powder keg, causing significant damage to one or more enemy mechs, and then screamed "MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I COULDN'T' FIT MORE EXPLOSIVES!" Jihadist ammunition suicide bombers for the win.

The only time there is a truly "GG" is when you have two WRECKS left standing and the only thing left of the victor is a small laser and about 3% structural integrity before self destruct.

Then you know it has been a good damn fight.

I used to try that posting "Plan?" at start. After half the time getting responses like "Kill em all" even in Conquest, I stopped.
Tried suggesting plans to sometimes but half the time got "Hell with that!" or similar usually followed by a loss.
</p>Sorry for that, I tend to answer Kill em all! especially in conquest. There is time to take more then two points when one or two enemies are down.

You ever say this to me, I will surrender knowing your wife is still yours! ^_^

For some reason, I really don't like it when people ask "Plan?".
Suggest one yourself. It may be ******, and you're trying to herd cats here, but it is more likely to achieve something useful than waiting for someone else to have the plan. Suggest something, and if people find it stupid, they'll tell you probably.

I will freely admit that I hate suggesting plans. It makes me feel presumptuous, and someone may call me on it or think my tips are bad, so I avoid it such conflicts, coward that I am. But at least I personally can respect people that suggest something.

I believe that's merely a product of the rules of the game. A StarCraft game (like, say, Chess) CAN continue for a long time after one player has lost the game. So surrendering when you realize you've lost is an important element of respect-for-each-other's-time. Likewise, offensive gg'ing is rude because it is presumptive about the other guy's ability to win.

In MW:O, because the game ends suddenly, there was no post match chat for so long and because it is often played between teams of unaffiliated players - the salutes needed to change. If you are on the winning team and want to show respect to the losers, you can't (well, couldn't) wait around for the other guys to gg first. So, as I see it, the gg in MW:O shouldn't be a "Vector-gg", the team it comes from isn't important. It's just a "this was a good game and I am glad to have gotten to play it with all you people".
