Just played a match of MechWarrior Online where one of my team mates jump jetted on top of my mech and basically acted as a turret for the entire match, due to the glitched collision system.

Three things:

>His mech was 15 tons heavier than mine.
>He was armed for short range combat, I was armed for long.
>I was piloting a decently fast mech with good armor.

Needless to say we wrecked the enemy team and multiple people called us hackers. I was laughing like a madman the entire time, although in my defense there was no way I could have gotten that Catapult A1 off of my Centurion C9-D's back even if I wanted to.

When he said, "Congrats, you are now the proud owner of a 6x6ShortRangeMissile Turret."

I thought he meant he was going to be my wingmate. I had no idea that he was standing on top of my shoulders. It wasn't until the QQ started and the "UR REPORTED" flew up into the allchat that I realized the sheer brilliance of his plan.

Anyways, while it was really funny and I wouldn't mind doing it again on a community server or something where stats aren't really a factor, ergo playing a game of Mech Chicken or something, it would be in everyone's best interests to fix this problem as soon as possible.

Finally, three people claimed to be filming that match. If you are one of those people please provide a link to your video so I can see it for myself. He was on top of me after all and the only way I knew he was there was from the radar blip and every once and a while someone would eat 6x6 SRM fire and I'd get a kill assist.

they removed the collision system. they intend to put it back in "soon".

hopefully it won't be the awful mess that it was in closed beta.

You know what I mean. There has to be some form of collision for him to be on top of my mech though.

correct. In the earlier - you know, good old - days, one of you, or both of you would probably have tripped and needed some time to get back up in his feet. This is what they removed, due to terrible warping effects caused by it. No we have... this... how to put it... "state" that you are describing and rightfully complaining about.
However - they DID say, that they are working on the old system and that it will be back "soon". Whenever "soon" might be.

unless they changed something this isnt considered hacking or even a reportable offense. its frowned upon, just like sync dropping is, but it isnt breaking any rules, unless someone can point me to a recent change of stance!
