Also, you're naturally free to stop by our forums. We have a healthy public section (right now it is being dominated by a forum Mafia game) that anyone can post in. Even a few SoR guys check in from time to time.

I think the mods have mental issues. What next? If someone has a unit based off of disney cartoons, and the mods are creeped out by daffy duck, does that mean you can't stick a pic of him in a thread?

As a brony I find that insulting, but I can see where you are coming from if you see within steriotype standards. Also you have a really good example, though it is a rule that the mods made and have to follow even if it is just one incident.

I suppose you've got a point. My above post was a little cranky. I just don't see what the differance is between the image sig's we ALL have, complete with silly little cartoon horseys in them, that appear in every post we make in the forums, regaurdless of subject, and the goofy picture I just posted.
I mean, I understand them not wanting people to spam the whole forum, I don't want that either, it would get on even my nerves. I just don't see how I needed to be warned, over a cartoon horse.

Its all explained somewhere early in the Pony thread (I think). I see it as preemptive damage control. Better to control the minority that has done nothing rather than the majority that will react.

Until recent events, Ponies remained exclusive to the Pony thread, and I believe should stay so. We've been good in the mod's eyes (or at least I think so), and I'd like to keep it that way.

I believe it's more about containment of image spam. Unfortunately, the MLP fandom is known to throw images everywhere, be it memes or otherwise. Heck, just look at the "Let There Be Pony" thread. It used to have discussion in it too. Even ignoring the haters, we could go a page or two without images being posted just talking about the show. Now it's just become an image dump: good luck finding a few posts in a row without an image. It's why I don't bother with it anymore; I have a site bookmarked that is nothing but pony images, I don't need a thread here for it too.

That's just my two cents. I'm sure an actual mod such as Mason would be able to explain it better.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm pretty guilty of the image dump scenario happening over there. I'm usually more interested in seeing images / art from the show then actually discussing it.

I agree with the spam control. If I saw ponies on every page of every sub forum here, I'd probably get weirded out and stay away.
