If i shoot and miss and a crowed area full of trees, I want to see dirt fly and trees topple
I want to be able to run over things and see terrain break apart as it gets hit...
It would only make sense, since we are fighting in giant bots =)

As cool as that would be, it would take a while to code, which makes it take longer for me to get my game.

I kinda liked in the videos where the trees stayed in place despite weapons passing through them. Yah it isn't very realistic, but at least it gives some 'cover' to utilize, though they could possible implement trees catching fire so you have cover that can also overheat your mech
.

They've said trees and small props will be destructible, but not the terrain.

rocks can be made destructible (spliting to smaller pieces)
terrain destruction is not supported by engine so there is not much devs can do
