I gave up streaks in favor of srm6s shortly after ECM was released.

I don't know if you're alone, but it's certainly not the experience that I have. I built my 2D with the same weapon loadout to take down Jenners originally, but I don't have the same luck taking down Ravens. What other equipment are you using on your 2D? Any special tactics?
I don't think I do anything special. It's a pretty standard loadout. Not like I have hardpoints for any other weapons. I'm not terrible, but I wouldn't say I'm an exceptional pilot, especially since I don't drive lights very often. I did manage to learn the Commando well enough to do respectably in the non-ECM variants when I was training them, using movement and terrain to make up for lack of ECM, when it was new and half the mechs on the field were ECM. Maybe I'm better than I think I am, but SSRM are a pretty big equalizer. I've always felt like I just out-missiled them.
I do notice that many 2D don't have the laser, trading it for extra Streak ammo. I consider this a grave error, as it cuts down DPS and gives you nothing to fire when you are out-ECM'd. I wish I could get away with the MPL I once had on there, but I found it left me too low on ammo.

First you'd have to find one sitting still or moving fairly slow. If has actively moving and scouting you probably won't get the lock from a TAG before he knows you're there. One shot won't kill him if he's not close to dead, already. Also a bit of over-kill since, if you can pull if off anyway, just get into the sweet spot between 180-200m (longer if you have sensor module) and you can lock on without TAG.
