Recently i've changed to using srm6 on my catapult c1 and i've noticed that at time the damage does not register even after a direct hit and the frequency of this event happening is even more frequent after upgrading it to srm6+Artemis.

Also i highly doubt it is lag shield because it has happened when i fire it at a shutdown atlas multiple time at 100m and my ppc and medium laser seems to damage the atlas normally.

So far this only seems to happen to my catapult C1 and neither my dragon 1Cor my catapract 2X suffer this issue.

I have experienced this problem as well. I primarily use a SRM boat Stalker M.

I have this happen all the time; I just chalk it up to more netcode/lagshield bull**** and move on.

+1

Also I've been hit by 6x and 4x PPCs in the proper range a few times now and they didn't do damage.

could be bug
could be mech isnt where it shows you (i.e. your shooting thin air)
could be paper doll isnt updating and they are (or you are) taking damage

This is probably related to the SRM6 to back armor issue.

I also use a 5M stalker and definitely having artemis made it worse. When I swtiched back, I had a much easier time.

the 75 damage coming from SRMs seems to spread a lot, but its really strange when I hit ONLY the arm of a cataphract with the spread and it doesn't kill the arm..

Maybe the dev's need to run some testing with SRMS? I would dare say that the more SRMs you fire at once, the less damage they doo.. I will have to test this out.

I have a SRM6 + SRM4 with Artemis equipped on my Centurion and I have the same problem. It's like every second volley is not registered and that's even when I hit a big target that doesn't move sitting right in front of me. It doesn't matter if I hit it in the back or in the front. Some volleys don't get registered at all

Maybe it has something to do with the missile door? That's the only similarities that i know between a stalker, catapult and centurion anyway.

Had the same issue with a Cata A1. 6 x SRM6. It's defintely not counting hits properly. Though I've had opponents with the same fit out rip me apart. I think its to do with the firing pattern used, staggering fire at 1 SRM6 at a time seems to hit and register better than if you fire 3 in a group or even all 6 simultaneously.

I can't count the number of times I've dropped a 36SRM alpha into the back of some Hunch or Cent, and have it not even take out a weapon. Seriously, how do you get 90 armor on the back of medium mechs?

So.. just started playing a commando for fun.. and while being quite damaged fired my streaks and apparently killed myself.. with my own streaks.

Posted Image

the lb10 hit was about 5 seconds before I fired the streak srm 2

Edit - there is no water around where I died and I wasn't in range for splash back from my target, I just died immediately after I hit the button to fire the streaks with nothing blocking there path to the target centurion, also my heat was around 40-50%, not even close enough for a ammo cook off (which I have in my legs anyhow which are both still there)

Same thing happened to me, except I had not taken recent damage. I was running through water (Commando), tried to fire my streaks, and blew myself up???

I was damaged to start, but had not been in a fight for at least 2 minutes. The person I was shooting at had his back turned to me, so couldn't have fired at me. He was the only enemy alive at the time.

Map was river city (day), but don't recall what game mode.

Would of said it was ammo explosion.. also my commando has perfect heat and I did not overheat, I'm not an 1diot thanks... Also my ammo are in my legs, which are still there..

Cause of death : Engine Destruction.

Sounds like you died by splash on your right torso due to your own streaks. Remember that XL makes torsos the quicker death option and the right arm of the Commando-2D is where the streaks originate from.

I wasn't close enough for splash damage and I have already read about other people killing themselves by just firing SRM's or Streaks.

Just had this happen to me as well, River City. I think the SRMs are instantly exploding on the surface of the water and doing splash damage to self. No ammo cook-off was involved.

That's correct.
