I have had some debates within the corps. that I belong to and I am wondering what the community's take is on which missiles best compliment the AS7-D-DC.

Let the debate begin!

I use SRM6s, but I don't see a poll option for LRM users.

SRM6s, but I also have one LRM10 to give me some flexibility.

LRM choice has been added.

Triple 6s plus Artemis. Though, I'm kinda regretting it since that SRM sweet spot thread came out.

3 LRM-15s arent bad either.

If you have the tonnage/space then there is no detriment to using Artemis with SRM.

Where is the option for LRMs and SRMs? I run a fairly stock DC.

It depends on the build, but I really like the 2xUAC/5, 3xSSRM2 combo. Yes, 3xSRM6 deals out a ton of damage. However, it is very limited in range on a slow mech. With the 2xUAC/5 I already have a very strong damage source. Choosing the SSRMs gives me a powerful anti-light tool to round out my arsenal. I am weaker at 200m, but on a DDC with 2xUAC I aim to win my fights in the 300-400m range.

None of the above.

I prefer mechs that require skill to play.

I don't think there's a mech with a better skill curve as an "effective" atlas : /

Ive unlocked master on every chassis in the game (except the hero mechs).

The ECM raven and ECM atlas are easymode noob-mechs.

Youre fooling yourself if you think that using a DC requires skill.

No mech in this game requires "skill" but I can asure you effectivly using any assault is just as hard if not harder than running a light with lag shielding and wether or not you've mastered every chassis in the game does not impress me at all, anyone with time to spend/waste can do that.

What ever floats your boat really (pun intended :) ).

Though I see you don't have an option for LRM + Artimis

3xSSRM2 for self defense against light harassers, combined with Gauss and PPCs. And ECM, obviously.

I don't totally agree with LoneUnknown. Usually, the bigger the mech, the easier the job (well, when PGI will re-introduce collisions, at least) but you also have the "weight" of your role on your shoulders. If you die like a noob, you leave your team with a serious handicap. That's why I don't pug anymore.

Among the atlases, however, the D-DC is one of the easiest to play. You do not even need to worry about breaking the los with a lrm spammer..

but you do because LRM boats are getting smarter and the atlas is probably the easiest thing in the world to tag...you don't even need to tag them you can hit them with dumb fired missles.

SRM6 + Artemis in my DDC, because I have the extra weight for it, plus it allows me to focus all of my firepower on one point rather than more spread out.

Now in my Hunch 4SP, I don't use Artemis because I don't have the extra weight, but since it is faster I can get closer to make as many as my missiles hit the same point as possible.
