Bah...edited to clarify while you posted...it can't even mimic it

It still does. People don't care about facts, they just want 3 UAC/5s.

Also WTB>gun cameras.

the twin gauss Jager has 1 massive advantage over the twin gauss Cataphract - high up arm hardpoints, meaning you can fire and duck back far easier than you can in a cata... doens't really matter if you have an XL engine if the enemy can hardly hit you while you are on cooldown

well as long as facts aren't an issue....by all means, carry on :)

And the massive downside of easily stripped (health 3) primary weapons...as I said...Pilot's perogative. Not to mention, no one runs a twin gauss 'phract...that's a K2...'phract is 1 gauss and 2xPPCs..

Honestly the only things I see saving the jagermech from permanent sideline duty is it's high arm position allowing it to shoot over things more easily than other mechs and possibly good torso twist (assuming it gets it). Even then it's a bit iffy unless PGI decides to implement the 70 ton variants early. (not gona happen)

I'm anticipating 120 degrees torso twist ('pult has 140)....anything less, and it's insta-gimped IMHO.

If its engine restrictions/speed are the same as the Catapult, it should be able to get up above 81kph with a 300xl (with speed tweak) right? That right there makes it better than the 4X in my mind. Speed is life, even for heavies/mediums (and to a lesser degree, assaults).

Pretty much.

80kph with 4 AC/5's or 2 AC/20's? Yes please.

I do still think it will be a bit of a glass cannon though, due to combination of having weapons in not-so-hard-to-shoot arms, and likely fitting an XL with broad side torso hitboxes, while being a large target overall.

Wasn't Jagermech one of the few that could do 360 degree rotation or something?

Or was that just it flipping the arms?

Tell me we will be able to flip the arms! :(

I think the biggest asset will be a wicked torso twist as it is designed to track aircraft to begin with, maybe the first mech with a true 180 arc. After all the part trick of its predecessor was to flip the arms all they way around and shoot behind it self.

But beyond that i think it will be mostly flavour.

A triple UAC Ilya carries 8-10 tons of ammo AND has 3xMLs for backup and/or Alphas.

You aren't getting 8 tons on a tripe UAC muppet without down enginning, not if you want the lasers.

Yeah, mine is 70kph or so, with 7 tons ammo, 2x ML, and 1x SL with all but a half ton of armor lashed on. Don't recall the engine size.

Jaggermech dont have elbows or hands, so less actuator is a AC20 for arm :P

Exactly. They can't go side to side, only up down. So those who liked the YLW because of the 1 AC/20 will like this. So basically a K2 with guns in arms and not torsos.

Being that it's triple-A, it should have exceptionally fast torso twist AND 360 torso twist. What good is an AA Mech that can't track a fast mover?

If this mech has a fast, wide torso twist, it will be lethal against lights & mediums in the hands of a skilled pilot..

I just hope they include the energy variant because I hate ballistic weapons. Energy and missile weapons are so much better.

http://mwomercs.com/...echbay-program/

It's constantly updated and the direct link in the first post is always the D/L link. Make sure you have BOTH 32-bit and 64-bit java installed...most ppl don't have 64-bit...enjoy, and give credit to the author "majora incarnate"
