Preface: I tend to change my Mechs configurations fairly often to fit the mood I'm in.. Sometime I feel like brawling, other times sniping other times support. I have established configurations for all these for all the Mechs I own.

Issue: It takes a lot of time to swap in / out all the bits and pieces and quite honestly it's a pain. :(

Solution: With the next UI implementation it would be extremely helpful to allow the creation and saving of configuration "profiles so instead of manually re-fitting ones Mech, a specific profile is simply selected (assuming all necessary equipment is available to be swapped) and with that, one can quickly and easily modify their Mech configurations with minimal effort.

Thoughts?

+1 and please let me name the profiles and even re-name the profiles.

Also, somehow mark the profiles which have sufficient equipment in inventory to be applied.

Better, add a button to purchase all the missing items for profiles which have insufficient equipment available.

Best, add a mechanic to export and import profiles.

Suggestion, see EVE Online for how to do this (nearly) right.

Also let different camo/paint skins be a part of the saved profile.

This is something I'd definitely like to see for Weapons/Components as well as paint jobs.

+1. I would add that every Chassis would have a pull down profile list. Those Profiles that are ready to go are listed in Green while those that lack some component or whatever are listed in Red.

Keep your Profile lists in the Green at all times Warriors. Or get punted to the back of the Launch queue. LOL :)

You'll have to pick the final Hue though. For what I get paid around here, just picking out the colors, is already border line. LOL :)

My thoughts are - It's not a bad idea, but it's also a fluff item. Needs to have a cost to it, maybe 50-100 per extra load out you want to build. Not as much as a mechbay, but a reasonable alternative to what you need to do now to accomplish the same thing.

I think that's a great idea and it would make grinding the mech builds for each mech type more fun if you can vary it up. Although due to the way current mechs are setup I don't think the devs will put something like that together until they get to using the omni-mech technology that the clan mechs have and even then they might restrict such a thing to those types of mechs.

This would be so huge currently the system to switch parts around is incredibly tediouse.

+1 and add a poll to get even more votes.

Best way to realize that should be to add the possibility of choose the loadout profile just before starting the match, in order to fit the map where you're playing.
