[Whompity]

Woo! Great fun. I had the privilege of "protecting" Karl in his first match tonight. I use that term in it's loosest sense. I ran around and did pitiful damage, but managed to be the last standing on my team (largely due to that whole running around doing pitiful damage thing). Still, really fun event.

You call that a kill steal?! I can fire a ac2 in random directions and land a single hit to kill someone! (happend more then once, first time it was a 2D that was runningg to the left of me up a hill)

t'was the match where me and Phil, tunnel flanked, distracting the enemy leading to our victory and Karl surviving handily. Scored a Kill too

i ran across Garth earlier in the day as we got smooshed handily by his squad. i also notice he never actually denied my claim that he used his magical dev powers to equip his cicada with 5 gauss cannons.

Thats what I was telling everyone in my group last night. I also added that like 4 months from now they will be messing around in their mechlab and be like "Wait a minuite I got a killed the Devs banner?!?! When did I get this?"

I had JUST read the announcement, launched and saw the PGI tag after thinking "no way this is gonna happen". Karl kinda got stuck in a corner on City Night at the end, but he went down fighting.

That night map was terrifying! I couldn't see anything, even with heat vision. When I got stuck in there I figured I was done for; plus I had a few other devs laughing at me from behind. Good times.

Hey I remember that match and Garth did not have gauss equiped. I remember med lasers hitting me and I jumped on the island tower in Rivercity. I was raining down Lrms and they saw me. Needless to say Garth and another CDA was opposing a cat a1 that I just started unlocking. I made a miss-step and fell off the building. Needless to say they made short work of me. Garth in an ecm cda and no one around to counter. They were to close for the missiles to be effective anyway. It was fun though.

Indeed.. I don't mind events that have nothing but bragging rights in the wee hours of the morning but ones that hand out rewards suck big time and show a disregard for the global community. This has always been the case with small publishers in the past, so I am used to it.. but it still stings every time I come across it.
