Voted Jackie Chan since I normally run fast mediums, but will switch to John Wayne Heavies or Assaults if my team needs an anchor. I definitely prefer the mobility of my hunchbacks and centurians though. I love riding shotgun for an atlas, then falling back to shield our lrm from a scout, then forward again to support the front.

Seems like the majority prefer mediums/heavies with speed but with some bite.

Direct Fire sniping and close-up HULK SMASHERS tied for 2nd so far :)

The playstyle descriptions sound so intriguing, but I never end up with that kind of players on the same team. :)

I tend to oscillate between brawler, medium range and recently some sniper duty with my Assaults (Atlas D & RS and a Stalker 3F). The one thing I have never done is LRM boating. I also have a 4SP for when I'm feeling lucky. I then assume the role of a Heavy/Assault satellite, providing additional firepower and cover when needed.

Alas, I had to vote "John Wayne brawling." It makes me feel gauche and unsophisticated, but the fact remains that I play best in a brawler Atlas less than 300m from the enemy. I've even swapped the four large lasers in my RS for large pulses.

john wayne brawler and jackie chan brawler huh? well actually the correct term for jackie chan brawling is knife fighter not a lot of weapons but speed and agility. while john wayne style is actually just brawling slow and not very nimble but carrying enough fire power to wipe out a hunchback in one salvo.

I like to kill them with paper cuts. most ravens carry more firepower than my catapult does. its not an easy style to play but its well worth it once you learn it.

I play pretty much all of those roles, so would have preferred a check box poll over a single choice. As it stands I can't actually respond honestly, since there isn't really even one that I do more than the others.

Wheres the "spawn Ballerino" option? I see tons of them in every 2nd PUG drop. They perform their art at the base until getting suprised by the enemy 5-10min into the round...

Indeed, despite the poll results, my experience has been that the majority of players opt for heavy brawling over agility. I suspect it's something representative about the sorts of people who become forumdwellers, and an interesting example of why forum opinion is never indicative of the feelings of the playerbase overall.

This is a cool thread! I picked "Agility over power". I play Awesomes the most, and it occurs to me the PB and 9M are best at Jackie Chan brawling.

I'm primary a brawler. Agility or power, i like both style. But, until now, i pilot fast brawler more often.

Definitely John Wayne brawling. I'm an Atlas pilot. Brute force and ignorance carries the day.
