I was very happy to see PGI start doing these weekend sales as it spurs on the players and makes us feel like we are getting something back. But are they are doing it wrong? I feel that sales should be true sales for all in game currencies and not only for those willing to spend bought MC currency.

Example: In the recent 'Medium Mech Madness' sale, select mechs were put "on sale" but the sale was only applied for MC. Make it a true sale and reduce the cost of the mech in C-Bills as well.

I realize that the credit basic colours were on sale for half credit cost but I believe that the sale should be spaned across the board to also include reduced C-Bill cost of mechs.

i think they are just sticking to established standards. this is how most F2P games present sales from what i have seen.

i think applying these sales to cbill prices would be beneficial to the game though.

I think it'd be a good idea as well. I mean, World of Tanks does it for their weekend tank extravaganzas. They even give you an increased credit income for the weekend on those tanks that're on sale for the weekend.

It's often worth it to have a couple free tank slots, just so you can buy some random mid-tier tank at half price, earn lots of credits then sell it for half the original cost, making your weekend extravaganza nothin' but profit.

Feels good, man.


That said, we also need first wins of the day. Just throwin' that out there. Doesn't even need to be for every mech(though that would be amazing >_> ).

Yeah the specials I have seen thus far have not been rewarding at all to f2p players.

It would be awesome if the special mechs recieved a bonus to c-bill generation too.

i think if your mech ends a battle with both arms in tact, you should be able to just drag a mech back to your mech bay with you

not only that you should be able to get components from any arms that you remove by destroying side torsos.

I think the specials should be broader and of course completely regular. Not just for special holidays. Just a "This week all blues 50% off." Then next fortnight it's all Hunchbacks etc.

if you look really hard you can find some sort of holiday for almost any day of the year. so there is no real reason why they couldn't stick to holiday sales AND have them weekly or even daily.

Depends on how international you're going for. Of course keep holiday sales, we love those. Just something more regular like Tribes Ascend daily deals to make sure there's never a dull moment for the guy who makes the client header pictures. So yeah, more sales.
