It's fine the way Piranha has designed it. It's the most wonderful thing Piranha has given us. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it here. In fact, it works in this game just like in other games or tabletop. What, did you think they didn't read their source material at all? Are you crazy? Piranha knows what they're doing. ECM is perfect. If anything, it needs buffs. They need to make it so that the carrier of the ECM is downright invisible. That's my suggestion. Alternately, they could make it cause the missiles to redirect midair and return to sender. I'm good for either.(Or better yet, how about both?)

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to my perfectly balanced, not OP at all, D-DC.

It will get balanced eventually but here's how I see it. The devs have gotten flak for mainly two things: "LRM online" of beta and the "broken ECM". So now they are being very careful about changes to either one.
