it is my humble oppinion that in a conquest match the mechs that actually do the capping as opposed to the ones that do the killing should get exp and cbill bonuses for doing the mission meaning you should reward them for every second they sit on a cap. On any number of matches I have been responsible for us obtaining a resource victory by making sure the enemy caps became our caps and yet no love for this and in fact a penalty because I did little damage I dont get the same kind of rewards as the mechs that actually fought. talk about no incentive to cap but a huge incentive to kill in a game type that is essentially a capping mission. im not saying mechs that fight it out should not be rewarded just that the ones that do cap should be rewarded.
just my oppinion.

It's still better for light mechs in terms of rewards, but there definitely should be some sort of reward for playing your role on conquest. Even something like a per full capture for each node 25xp 2500 c-bills - x5 bases that adds up a to give the light mechs something to work for. Unless you run with a team that sets roles - spots and tag are pretty hit or miss and don't really make up for the differential for what you could get for damage alone.

Rewards for capture would increase build diversity and encourage team cooperation.

instead we have lights that are being rated by elo based on no damage because the mission type doesnt require damage to win

I'd rather see you get an XP/cbill reward per points you cap. It prevents you getting te last couple of points for a complete cap and nabbing some one elses hard won reward.
I'd also like to see a reduction in te kill xp and cbill rewards... make it a conqest game not a kill things game.

I love this mode but I agree, especially on alpine peaks where my damage is low because both teams spend a lot of time in transit.
Possibly a +25 XP / +7,500 CB reward for being on when it turns neutral to friendly and a +15 XP / +2,500 CB when it maxes out would do it.

I play often in 4-man premade, so it is often my role to cap. The capping is diferent per tonnage, so there has to be a way to know, how much you capped and the exps should be given by it.
