I'm happy Elo is here, but I didn't know it came with some "class matching" rider. :-( Some guys might want to bring wall-to-wall Swaybacks up against a mixed team.

Maybe later …

Lots of good stuff to chew on, all the same.

Thanks for the good work, PGI

These Treb variants are very.....varied. I like it. Two with JJ, one an energy boat and one with 3 energy 3 missile. One with a nice high end speed. Very nice.

It tries to match the weight classes. Failing that, it gives the other team what ever is available.

The pre crit damage is fine. If you are going to use a shotgun, you have to be up close to get the full effect.

If EMP works as well as it sounds, no one will be ECM Capable for more than a few moments at a time. ;)

With all due respect no, no its not. Also the lbX is not supposed to be a shotgun it is aupposed to shoot flak round that are proximity detonated so the lBX should still hit a mech at the full range of the gun not just inside 250m. The srm and lrm had their pre crit damage boosted due to scatter, why not the lbx?

Can't help but notice they moved a medium laser on the 3C. Normally it has 2 meds on each arm. I wonder why they opted to move it.

Treb-7M seems to be the variant I like, jump jets and missiles what's not to like. my YLW gets an engine boost to 300, and 5% turn boost. sweet stuff ;)

Because increasing the damage would make it too powerful at close range where the spread is minimal.

I don't understand the consequences of this change:

Basic `Mech Efficiencies are now correctly doubled when Elite status is obtained. (NOTE: Elite status requires you to have all 4 Elite talents purchased for that variant).

Before:
-Unlock 8 Basic Efficiencies for 1 variant -> variant is Elite
-3 Elite variants of one Mech -> all Basic Efficiencies are 2x & Elite efficiences unlock
-Unlock 4 Elite Efficencies for a variant -> variant is Master
-Unlock 3 Masters of a class -> Master Efficiency unlocks

Now:

-Unlock 8 Basic Efficiencies for 1 variant -> variant is Elite
-3 Elite variants of one Mech -> Elite efficiences unlock
-Unlock 4 Elite Efficencies for a variant -> variant is Master & all Basic Efficiencies are 2x
-Unlock 3 Masters of a class -> Master Efficiency unlocks

Is this correct?

No, that is the way it is supposed to be. 2 on the RA 1 CT and 1 on the LA.

Trebuchet TBT-3C

- Tonnage: 50
- Engine: 300 XL
- Max Engine Rating: 390

that will be a really fast 50ton mech ;)

Well it will only be an 390XL and then that one weighs in at 30T. Good luck getting many weapons and armor and JJ's after that load gets placed... :D

A STD 390 weighs 53 tons btw. (ouch)

"What is Alpine Peaks you ask? It’s a huge map. H U G E. Bring your scouts, stick together, and load up some long range weapons because you’re going to have to change up your tactics for this snow-capped map."

This is hard to do when you don't know what map you are playing on.

River City Night, or Alpine Peaks?

The take away here is that, now, pure brawler builds run a much higher risk. That SRM-Cat or AC/20-Cat is going to have a bad day if he hits too many Alpine drops.

I think this will work out well in balancing some of the loadouts. Now, really specialized builds are high-risk / high-reward. Not just high-reward.

I'll have a better read on it later today.
