Just noticed that is had 15 tubes times 2, but only one missile
moint point per tube set, so you cannot mount 2 SRM6's.

Is this accurate of did I overlook comething?

Except for the 7K which obviously should be a ballistic platform, I'm afraid you're right.

HOWEVER, The engine cap of TBTs have gone through the roof, making them the most maneuverable LRMboat in game so far. That should be something to enjoy for experienced LRM pilots.

Poor Catapult C1....

I'm pretty sure the first thing many people will do is to strip LRM's, put SRM's instead and go brawling. It's kind of the situation this game is in.

That was my first thought too, but with the PPC EMP effect LRMs may become a lot more effective.

Have you seen armor value ?
Its almost the same as jenner or raven with bigger hitboxes. And the hard point are on arm + torso not great for aiming in a brawl.

Even without their buff centurion is better for the job.

Oh no. Nooooo no no.

I am buying the unholy bejeebus out of a 7M, ripping out the NARC, ammo, and CASE, yanking the 300XL from my Cicada and stuffing it into that bad boy, and making myself a 100+ kph jump-jettin', base-cappin', LRM-firin' Ubergremlin. To Gehenna with SRMs - I have a 'Mech on my hands that can nearly match my Cicadas for movement speed, jump, carry significant missile armaments, and look ****** as hell doing it all to boot?

Abso-*******-lutely. Lemme at 'em.

Played around with it a bit in the mechlab. So far I'm not impressed.

If it can't brawl, then it's useless.

Well it seems that the max possible armor is the same as centurion. It can brawl but not as effective with srm as a centurion or a 4sp, and 5 less tons on a medium mech is huge.

If think hunchback and cent will be favored.

On the contrary - if I can go a hundred klicks an hour whilst pounding you with only one laser shy of the entire default armament of a CPLT-C1, without sacrificing my jumping capability (hint: I totally can), then I don't particularly care if you can brawl or not. I can't - but I also don't have to on any map save River City. I get twenty-four full salvos to pound you into scrap with from outside your effective range, and unless you have long distance weapons of your own you can't really do squat about it given how fast and maneuverable the TBT is. The only threats I have to worry about are enemy fast 'Mechs with enough close-combat armament to rip me up (which, surprise! aren't very popular at the moment), or enemy LRm counterbattery fire. Which I'm more than quick and agile enough to avoid.

Yup, I'm totally a free kill on River City - but you're a free kill on Alpine Peaks in that 4SP. I'd say it balances out in the end.

Umm, what if they're under an ECM umbrella? Maybe you need a tag

Trebuchet is easy to kill. Just takes one or two volleys of my 5xsrm6 to kill it. Since the Cat is heavier, faster and better armed I do not see the sense of the Trebuchet yet.

Theoretically one could build a Trebuchet with the specific goal of beating down those silly ECM Raven builds that need to just go die a horrible, fiery death. Think about the hard points. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these rogue devils.

The Devs sure did want us to stick LRMs on it. That is what I will be doing I guess.

You're harvesting stock trebuchets with highly specialized cats. Give them a few days and you'll see some highly specialized Trebs firing back at you. I think your opinion will change.

I have now racked 10 kills on my 7M Mlas/SRM6 jump boat. Holy crap is it fun to play and jump around.

3Mlas
3 SRM6
4JJ
300xl engine (97kph untuned)

Jump while the cat lines up it's shot, pepper srm6 down and then turn hard when you hit the ground. Mlas are good for earing, as is the srm6 volley

Right now.....maybe, maybe not. MWO currently is centered around brawling but I'm sure this mech will come into play eventually. I will still enjoy it though.
