- The LB10-X has a 14% increased chance to crit once, an 8% increased chance to crit twice, and a 3% increased chance to crit 3 times.
- When the LB10-X crits, it will deal 2.0x the amount of normal damage from 1 'pellet' to an internal item.
- The LB10-X crit damage is 1.0 x 2.0 = 2.0 per crit. Max crit of 3 times = 6.0.
Apply those numbers to the flowchart below (from: http://mwowiki.org/w...-_A_Brief_Guide):
I believe the "1x Crit", "2x Crit", and "3x Crit" numbers near the bottom are updated to 39%, 22%, and 6% respectively. That translates to the Crit Success chance updated from 42% to 67%.

An AC-20 could crit for 60. But no item has more than 10 health so it's all wasted damage (the AC-20 itself has 18 health so it dies to a 1x crit from an AC-20). The crit damage does not apply to the internals, only to contents of the section.

But it is only component damage. Location still take same amount of damage (= 10 if all pellets hit same location)
It means that on theory (all pellets crit 6p damage), lbx can destroy at max 5 different 10hp components with single shot.

But an LBX-10 critical applies 10 separate crits to the internals. That includes weapons, electronics, heatsinks, ammo. A super lucky LBX-10 crit of 60 damage will probably destroy almost everything in the hit location that can take damage.

LB/10X still needs its firing pattern changed from a cone to a cylinder so it doesn't lose accuracy at range.

However, the spread still make it non-viable in any situation except very close-range brawling. That's just sad considering its weight and the fact that it's the most expensive weapon in the game.

I'm not sure if these "crit seeking" weapons are that viable, most of the time I lose a torso/limb before I ever lose a weapon. On the other hand if you are trying to kill someone with an LB10x, MG, or Flamer, I can see how it would be much easier to kill them with a ammo explosion than actual damage.
I also think that Engines need 30 damage points, 3x the ammount of a standard critical slot.
