Still at work but curious if Friendlies are still indicated with the unreadable Teal font and arrows? Personally I can't see that color teal against the mini-map so I am hoping they changed this without documenting it.

no they did not
I have to stop playing MWO because of this, the color scheme hurts my eyes

I have an issue trying to install the patch on Win7 64-bit. Once the patch gets to the "Finalize" portion of the patch it tries to close the MWO client.

If I click "Yes" and it closes it gets stuck at the same part when restarting it, even restarting as administrator.

If I click "No" and leave it just stays in that Finalizing mode.

I am reinstalling MWO now, and patching the fresh install now, which may be awhile as it says the first patch is 1700mb.

EDIT: Update: Reinstall fixed the issue. I was able to patch normally.

HELP!

I cannot play the new upgrades. I tried patching the latest updates (today 20/2/13) and it patched the first update, but it hanged after the second. As soon as it finished the second smaller update, It popped up with a message warning about closing the patcher midway thru patching. I didnt try and close it, and just left it. It didnt do anything. The progress bar is full, and the little window down the bottom right says please wait. I tried making the warning message go away by pressing cancel (cancel to the close of program request?) and its still thinking. What do i do? Sorry if my questions arnt proper technical speak, i dont know a great deal about computer science.

Sorry if this is the wrong section, or is already in disscussion elsewhere.

This sounds exactly like my problem, only expressed in a more precise and clear manner.

Do i really have to uninstal then reinstal and patch 1.7 gigs? Surely there is a better way. That will take forever on my australian internet connection.

Perhaps you should ask to have your name changed to Pope Benedict XVI. He had the same thought process.

I have a small problem to report. It is not 'this patch' specific, it was present before.
I run a dualcore system. with previous improvements I can play at decent framerates (at minimum quality).
Problem is, there seems to be an unintended shortened mech view distance. Happened in forest colony, and now that I tried the new map I can confirm it happens there too.
What happens is that they get to see me before I can see them. I see shots coming from empty space (checked with thermal also), but if I fire to that location I get the hit indication (red cross). Last night I could see the smoke puff from a damaged enemy mech, but not the mech. Of course once they get closer they appear normally. I can't see a graphic option that could improve this thing alone.

Also I have to say that I really enjoyed some of the matches. Being the last mech alive against 8 mechs, I managed to deliver the final blow to an Atlas, using the Machineguns equipped in mine! hehe at last could shut the mouth of those 'OMG machinegus' players :)
And I just LOVE the fact that ppc disables ecm now. I now have an option to take a TAG in an assault.

This thread nearly 20k views.

Its about ECM, you may consider getting the feeling on this.

ECM is hated. There where severals polls that tousands of players do enjoy the game less, or stop playing.

I also stoped playing for a month or so.

ECM is gamebreaking, please consider a rework.

ALSO: Good job PGI on weapons (but MG, Flamer, LBX), the mechs, the maps. I love your game!

Issue:

Light 'Mechs are nearly impossible to hit without lock on weapons.
I've tried lead shooting, direct shooting, and lag shooting light 'Mechs that are running perpendicular to me (running circles) and I'm finding them impossible/incredibly difficult to hit. I've also noticed this from the one time I ran my Raven. Everyone was hitting the ground about 5-10 meters behind me.

On all maps, but especially so on the new Alpine map, there should be an unpassable terrain. I do believe that mechs should not be able to climb slopes steeper then 30-35 degrees. That will make all maps, but especially so Alpine, more tactical. When you see mechs standing on that highest peak on Alpine on F6 that just makes no sense, they shouldn't be able to climb mountains you know!

Other issue is the new 'Warning Being Targeted' message from Betty. This should NOT happen under any circumstances. Scout mechs who relay targeting information should be able to sneak on enemy mechs and be able to target them without any notification to mechs targeted. Only exception to that is when you are being tagged or narced. IMO you should have an option to install a MODULE on your mech that will notify you when you are being tagged and/or narced. But there should NOT be any means to tell if you are being targeted. Game should encourage player to improve their awareness of the situation.

Have 1 problem: can't rearrange armor for my CDA-3C. After saving new loadout and re-entering mech's loadout - everything as before.

I've been having this same issue with my Cataphracts after the latest patch (it might be happening with all my 'Mechs, but I haven't tried it on them yet).

Gauss rifle exploding will be listed as ammo explosion under death if that killed you.

Some changes to collision have resulted in the ability for an enemy mech to pin you up against a cliff-face or a wall in a tunnel or against a building or any other area of tight proximity and blast away at you.

You will be unable to turn or move out from this pin, and instead will be presented with a constant warping effect if you try. You are essentially stuck and unable to do anything about it, UNLESS you happen to have gotten pinned by them at an angle that allows one of your weapons to hit them and you happen to destroy them before they can destroy you. This is rare, but I have been able to unpin myself once from this scenario. The rest of the time, it is a sure-fire way for them to win. Is this an exploit or intended?

so, two problems to report.

1. sometimes when zooming in regularly (no module) I will lose all targetting boxes and battlefield indicators (IFF triangles, missile icons, ecm, etc). The rest of the hud stays however. Notably seen on alpine map.

2. Oftentimes when I have lost target on something then it comes back up, I get betty telling me, "Warning: targeted." like I have been targeted. This occurs regardless of if any enemy can see me or not.

There is one thing that bothers me - amount of c-bills lost when buying mechs. I mean i already have someengines and equepment - so i dont need stuff that comes with basic variants. And the moment i buy mech - i lose HALF of its price, most of it equipment i dont really need. So why not make it so i can buy an empty mech, since i can already sell empty mech - so there muct be some around.

i do understand desire to make grinding for c-bills - core game mechanic, but if i feel that i'm being forced to grind more - i would play less and with less joy. Even more so becouse i have to play different variants to unlock full potential of a mech - hundreds of games played only to buy variant that i dont really want or need
