Just played my first match, completely different feel. there was a pgi guy in there too, and a goon or a fake goon. It felt like I was playing against a organized team to be honest. Not saying that they where, but it didn't feel like a pug game lol. My team lost with only 3 kills on the other team I think. Both sides played semi well, there was no stragglers running off going rambo.

To the guy above me, considering the time difference we posted in we might be from the same game. I was top score on my team with 1kill and only like 170 dmg done before someone critd my Gr arm. Was on snow forest map.

3 matches so far and all pretty even. Don't think any premades involved. Matchmaking takes a while and two failed to find a match so far. I see quite a few mediums, driving Hunchback myself, but no gross inequality in mech weight classes.

5 tries to get a battle for me, but on the other hand it was an awesome, close battle, that ended with 2 mechs alive per side and at 711 vs 750 points (conquest). A loss for me, but a great one.

Defiantly not a placebo effect, lol. The guys I just played against actually knew what they where doing.

Just remember you won't see an instant change with ELO. It takes time, everyone is in the same pool until they win or lose most of their games. It will take roughly 1 to 2 weeks before you see a change depending on how many games you play a day. And even then it will only be a gradual change.

Also its pretty early yet during the week so finding matches will be sketchy, lets wait till primetime to see how that effects finding the match.

I'm having a little bit hard of a time finding a match at the moment but most of the fights I've had are pretty good.

You can't really judge ELO on the first day since everyone is around the same rating lol. The one game I've managed to find today was an 8-2 stomp and since then I've had about 10 failed to find matches.

well what's the point of owning a goonrush whistle if you cant even find it when you are about to get goonrushed. the last i saw moderate pudding had taken it. please ask them to return it if you see them.

Everyone is not at the same rating, unless everyone hasn't played in the last two weeks.

After ELO went live I have not had a match where i was NOT matched against teams filled with "near-death disconnecting 6srms6 cats"

hopefully after a few weeks of loosing to them i can get to an elo level where proper mechs are fielded and actually get to kill opponents that dont disconnect as soon as they loose armour.

this is a massive fault in the system...

Any confirmation on the weight class topic? Got the 5th match now where we basically had more assaults then the hostile team.
