That's where you have to look at your team composition and decide who is gonna sit and defend the base, or just don't over commit. If everyone is too slow to respond, someone has to stay behind.

That map is currently an exception for that rule. I have been running my fast mechs just for situations like that. Alpine is so huge that mobility has tremendous benefits. Once desert, volcanic, and lunar maps come out I would be willing to be that you see a lot more mediums as opposed to heavies and assaults.

On a side note: Splatcats on Alpine.... just lol.

Actually this one looks like the Trebuchet is being considered an assault just like the other examples XD

It's not considered an assault. The MM couldn't find an appropriate assault. With the trebuchet just coming out, there are bound to be huge numbers of them being played, so you have a better than average chance of the MM picking it as opposed to something else.

But does the game even take into account my skill rating on my lights and on my assaults or does it just mash it all together?

Weight imbalance just doesn't work very well but there isn't much we can do apparently. Let all the 8 man teams who only play assaults try to drop though and let them have fun waiting for a while I guess.

The weight classes have seperate Elo scores.
