Limburger Mechs

We all know of "cheese" builds. Splat Cats, AC20 Cats and so on. Many of us know that these mechs do have serious limitations, namely range.
Yet, this does not stop them from scoring a kill in the smaller maps due to the potential to turn a corner or go assist a friendly and find that suddenly, we are face to face with one. This would not be such a problem, were it rare. With the prevalence of such builds, due to how they are technically effective, causes it to be a problem.
Streakcats were considered enough of an issue that they were nerfed. How long until the other "cheese" builds receive the same attention? I for one am more than a little tired of it.
Now then, allow the trolling and flaming to begin, I will not be checking this topic again so do what you like.

Streak
Fixed that for you.
The problem wasn't the cat, the problem was lots of a very very very overly good weapon. Reduced cockpit shake from missile hits helped a little, and the chosen implementation of ECM finished them off the Streak cat, only because it couldn't carry its own ECM.
Streaks are still broken.

And dear god there's a lot of whining on that subject.

The problem stems from the **** poor weapon balance and bad game mechanics. Although, I supposed one could argue that the torso twist on the Catapult is a bit much, but that is up for debate. Think of it this way, if I take a Raven-3L and I'm not using ECM and streaks, am I still OP? Do I stand a chance against a Raven using those systems? No, I am not/don't stand a chance.

Seriously. Notice no one is complaining about Streak Cats any more? Streaks didn't suddenly get fixed. Now they are only useful (abusive) when on a mech that can also run ECM.

See the combinaton of ECM and Streakmandos and Raven 3Ls with Streak.
It is difficult for a game to become like this...

Did you missed the period where Streaks were ALWAYS hitting the center torso? That was what made Streaks OP. Jenners ruled the field because with just a few Streaks they could core heavier mechs. It got nerfed by making Streaks randomly hit any part of the mech, making it inefficient for fighting mechs with high armor but still good against mechs with low armor. But I guess most of you never bothered to notice this because you're terrible at this game.
ECM was never a straight nerf for Streaks. It's a nerf for LRMs.
