I don't know about that. The Trebuchet is basically a huge walking hitbox on legs. It's super easy to hit and it's wide body makes it extremely vulnerable to LRMs/SRMs/LBX strikes. In terms of missile-boatability there's only one variant that can match the CN9-A, but it lacks the CN9-A's ballistic hardpoint (which can jack up your firepower in a pinch). The treb does have better placement of hardpoints though, allowing for large energy weapons to be carried (which none of the Centurions can do).

this and some of the trenchbuckets can jump which is neat, not a fan of the 8mil CBill price tag on the one (can't remember variant) though :/

I rated it at a 5 so far. Need to get more seat time when my ping isn't completely abnormal. (not at all used to playing with a 200+ ping, now I know how players across the ponds feel)

The few matches I did play, I could see where the potential is and how I needed to make some tweaks to fit my play style.

260-300 ping here :)

Played about a half dozen matches so far, completely missed the short implementation of MM3. You know sleep and everything. I think I dropped into the 8manz queue accidentally once, or something.

Anyway, liking the 7M so far. Running it as an LRM harasser (I would never have seen myself type that before). Fun so far, love the mobility. Getting a kill or two every match, good enough for me.

Note: Stock armor is bloody horrible, makes an untweaked Bucket a deathtrap.

inferior to both hunchback and centurion as as brawler.

equivalent as a LRM mech (which by definition is not very good)

better as a jump sniper (but having 2 ppcs is underdamaged in general for sniping)

I think they messed up the hardpoints on the 7M. I think they meant to put 2 missles on the right torso and none on the left torso. Currently firing a 6SRM from the left torso slot comes out in a 3 salvo stream that take close to 1/2 sec, which for SRM is not a good thing. Ended up taking the SRM out completely from left torso as it really isn't worth it.

But it is nice to have JJ on a medium.

Yeah you are right, it was originally a NARC launcher. Its like shooting missles through a straw. I would hate to see a LRM 20 launch from it would take a bit.

Buyer beware to the rest of you.

I've run a LRM15 through a NARC tube, it's hillarious.
Just shove a SSRM in there and call it a day.
