So far since the patch I've seen 2 Atlas D-DCs with twin machine guns (in the same match no less) and now I've just seen a most terrifying Ilya Muromets rocking a trio of MGs.

MGs are only a (possible) threat if A} you have ammo in your mech somewhere B} your armor is stripped C} you're at hugging range, and the ammo issue can be partially solved with a C.A.S.E

I was running a Trebuchet with 2 PPCs, 2 SRM4s and 2 MGs, was actually a lot of fun. The MGs are better than they were (they could not be worse) but they still need a damage boost.

In my first match, I bumped into a Cataphract with 2xMG and 2xFlamer. He was really banking on those crits. He didn't win

Not a MG, but the LB10-X is pretty nasty now. Probably the best crit seeker we have available.
