Close client, wait about a minute and restart.

It has happened to me, and it is extremely frightening to see all your hard work and MC not show up, but it will fix itself.

restarting yields no change. been like this sense todays patch

reinstall the client, i've had to reinstall a few times after a patch sometimes files get corrupt

reinstalled and it's fixed.
