Frozen City's my least favorite, just don't like it. Could be better if it were larger, but frozen city seems to always have the same tactics.

Anyways, my personal top five (ordered by preference):

• Forest Colony (normal - it's a classic!)
  
• Forest Colony (snow - best map in a new dress)
  
• River City (normal - urban combat!)
  
• Frozen City (night - love the crisp air and scenery)
  
• Frozen City (normal - scenery as above, although I have mixed feelings on the reduced visibility)

I don't like river city night but I don't hate it either. I would love it with a few more street lamps and just a few actual dark spots. Frozen city has such terrible visibility it is frustrating to play but that's not my real problem with it. I hate that I can stand in a spot that clear vision and I can see all the map clearly, even the areas with poor visibility. That makes no sense. So it is frustrating and stupid. That's why I don't like it.

I like every map except Caustic Valley.

My current favorite mechs are Cataphract-IM and 3D and the Atlas-D-DC.

I agree. I have a feeling it would look amazing if the buildings were still lit, or at least some of them.

I hope I get to see Alpine tonight - only got to play a handful of matches yesterday and not one on the new map. I have proactively entered it as "maps I like" because what I heard really sounded good ... but let's see if it's good enough to enter into my top five, and if so, how high!

The reason I hate River City is because I'm so sick of it. Its definitely the map I have gotten stuck with the most and I was never a fan of the night version when it first came out. I also can't see a thing at Frozen City.

I only hate RCN because of the choice of dark, shiny green, or thermablob. None of the vision modes are really optimal on that map so I tend to not get the best use out of any of them, though NV is just crap really. Actually I think the cave on Forest is the only place that the nightvision looks remotely functional.

I pretty much hate the maps where I have to go into thermal to see any damn thing. The rest are OK, if still unbalanced and buggy for the most part.

It will be interesting when they revamp the size of the original 4 maps to carry 12v12 like Alpine is currently sized.

i really hate river city night...because you can only play this map with thermal view...night vision is quite lacking

It's not that I don't like the map, but the night vision is terrible and heat vision is visibly boring.

Hate none. But would love to have the oportunety to choose my Mech after i know witch Map comes next so we can react on the Map by choosing our best Mech. Makes my 10 Mechbays a bit obsolet when its Lottery every Time!
My Fun Level would defenetly rise when i could ride the Mech of my choise on the next Map in rotation.......
