IF we need to have it at all, it should be reserved to BAP or a module IMO

BAP or module.
AND no spoken warning, either make it an icon or some beep.

Why would this be a function of the Beagle Active Probe when it's a passive detection system??

If you wanted to make it something you get with the Advanced Sensors II module I'd be ok with that. But really. . . this is old, old technology for us, let alone the 31st century.

We're not playing Battlemechs WW2 here.

TBH I don't like it.

Not just because it tells the enemy im targetting him, but because I myself get told and I hate that.

It almost feels like im cheating or something..........it basically removes something I used to do myself, and does it for me...........

Dislike from me.......I guess the Shark option is the one I should choose ???

It is extremely useful as a light to know if you are being targeted so you can reposition yourself and find cover. Sure once the match turns into a close range brawl it is annoying but before that is it very helpful.

I like the idea of reserving it for BAP or a module, though a HUD icon or cockpit light (something like the critical light only yellow?) would be cool as well. Having to hear the warning over and over again can get annoying sometimes.

I think it's helpful, but it shouldn't happen the instant you get locked, it should happen after like 2 seconds.

HUD CHIRP PLS, for JJ fuel warnings too, and for targeting enemies. just make them distinctive. Make BAP prevent the enemy from hearing the warning when they are targeted.

it's easy to see this technology with 20th century hardware, let alone some bunch of years down the line.

in fact there should be a HUD display that comes up when you are targeted, and goes away when you are no longer targeted AND it shows how many foes are targeting you at that second.

keep the voice warning and have it announce only if you have not been targeted by anyone for a while and are being targeted again.

if i were living in that world i would want all that in addition to a pointer showing what direction each targeting was coming from.

Why should you know if you're being targeted, anyway? ECM numbers already determine the gameplay, and now we have yet another reason all eight 'Mechs should be ECM-armed to retain stealth? I can't even get to the backs of enemy lines without being spotted now, unless I'm in a COM-2D or RVN-3L. Funny how your poll doesn't include removing this new system. Wanna make it exclusively to BAP, that's fine. However, I don't even think such a system should be in place at all. It shouldn't be spoon-fed that you're being targeted. Players are being spoon-fed information that they should be on the look out for at all times. First was the incoming missile alerts, and now warning targeted? As it stands, heat vision reveals way too much. What more information is required to be auto-triggered?

When this game was in its infancy, developers said they didn't want a MechWarrior game that revolved around one weapon system or one 'Mech. Well, this game has reverted to being exclusive to certain tried-and-tested 'Mech varients as a commonality, and one system that will ultimately determine the outcome of every game albeit God-awful piloting from the carrier of said system. Wake up your idea.
