Same issues as last time - every couple of matches is a crash to desktop upon exiting a match
Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which?
No
Where in the game or menus did the crash occur?
Upon exiting a match
What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring?
clicking quit match
Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps?
about every 5 matches or so
What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Currently all are on Very High, have gone down to medium as well as playing with AA. 1920x1200 resolution
What are your System specs?

Two crashes this evening after installing the latest patch. The previous version had been running very stable for me. I use high settings, 1920 x 1080, GeForce GTX 660, Windows 7 64-bit w/ 6 GB RAM.

The first crash was actually a lock-up that occurred on Forest Colony after the game had started. No error message. The screen froze and the sound continued looping. Had to kill the game from the task manager. It was not using a significant amount of CPU at the time.

The second crash was a typical crash-to-desktop which occurred shortly after the start of a match on River City. The only error message was the standard "This program has stopped working properly..." dialog displayed by Windows.

In both instances I was just running around the match. I don't recall having just fired or anything. I've had at least 4 matches without crashes, though.

Same issues and resolution efforts that Xaxius has reported. I have no solutions and it's gotten much worse with this patch, to the point of being completely unplayable.

Very sad, I like MWO when it works!

Tried 3 battles after the patch, client froze at the start in 2 out of 3.

Gonna be back next patch, it's pointless to play in the current state. Fix it already!

edit: wondering if this might be an issue caused by the server - e.g. lost/delayed packets make the client hang? Playing again now, a week after the patch, I have yet to freeze once, yet nothing changed about my system (it was not even rebooted).

This is the same problem that has been going on for a month now. Only after this patch I can't even make one match yet Premium time is just ticking away. I'm highly pissed off!

This is the usual quick black screen then back to client with no errors.

Experience the same problem. I can't play like that!
Sys spec med/high (play both)
AMD Athlon II X2 245
4Gb of RAM
Asus GTX650-DCO 1Gb
Win7 x64
(min fps 16/max 60/average 32)

Something with this patch has gutted the stability of this game for me. I've been in since closed beta and the game has been very reliable since then, but now it's a crap-shoot as to whether or not I'll finish a map. All of my details have been reported through the support system, so I won't post them here. Essentially the same runaway thread and CDevBufferMan messages from omicron.log that others are getting.

Where in the game or menus did the crash occur? - Only when In my atlas, in match
What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring? Playing a match ( walking, firing, etc) again, only happens in atlas
Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps? yes, Cannot complete an entire match in atlas
What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch? 1920x1080, no

Never had this issue before last patch. All other mechs play fine.

2 CTD on alpine peaks in a row.

The crash seemed to happen when I was firing, but didn't necessarily happen when I first fired.

Hello since this afternoon after patching my game now instantly hangs goes black and freezes up,
I dont have an error log since the game does not crash and post an error.

I run windows server 2008 R2 enterprise X64 with an i5 2500K 8gb ram @1333mhz and a powercolor hd5770.

Are there any know bugs that cause this hang and freeze.
and where can I post a bug.

Sudden game freeze is still happening in my MWO.
I deinstalled the Win7-Update from Microsoft KB2670838, which I suspected to cause this.
Then I made some 15 matches without crash.
But after this patch I got 2 freezes, one in battle, and one at start of the battle while still in team overview.

It is happening regardless which mech I use, and independent of the map or sight used (thermal, normal, nv)
And I can say that no overheating of graphicadapter or cpu is causing this, my tower shows temp in a display.
I changed nothing in my video settings for 3 months.
Freezes 1st occured with forelast patch (something around 15 or 19feb I think)

Renamed the temp folder, the game created a new one upon launching. Result: first game I drop in locks up.

I've been sitting out patches for a month now, waiting for a solution. What is happening here, I can't be the only one? I haven't had issues in any other games/environments.

I was asked by support to try testing in the Training grounds after reporting these crashes. An hour or so of testing in the training grounds has produced no crashes, but I still cannot get through an online match without the fast and silent crash to mechlab at some point in the match.

Anyone else experiencing the crash just online?

Good tip MourningZero, I'll try that one too.
I've just sent Support a mail with my DxDiag and Omicron log, asking them how I can assist in tracking down this problem. We've signed up for a beta, at least use us as beta testers, staring at another frozen screen isn't helping our blood pressure levels :)

After patching I cannot get the game to launch correctly.
After Login just as the Normal front page loads I get
"FRead did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 of 0 bytes read"
every time.
video settings minimum unchanged
running Win7 x64 AMD Althon 2 X2 240

Fixed using the Object.pak file available.

Still a crash in my first game though, two more were fine.

Yup. Testing grounds works fine. Actual matches, not so much.

Hurray a crashdump file! However it's 13MB.. isn't that a little excessive?

do you folks have an ftp server I can upload files like that to?

game is back to freezing up randomly.
also big hit FPS. I go any where from 60 all the way down to 8. Have not had it this bad since a patch or 2 from live beta.
