As you have likely caught onto already, there will likely be 5 Mechs of each weight class (light, medium, heavy, assault) added to the game, and will likely be the official (or close to) end of Beta when all 20 mechs come out.

As you know, the Jaggermech is coming out, and the Highlander is next. These are going to be followed by:

Light: Flea
Medium: Blackjack
Heavy: Orion

But we have yet to get a final Assault mech!

So....
What do you guys think the last Assault mech will be?
What Assault mech do you want to see?

I will add more to the poll as more assault mechs are mentioned.

Banshee (fills the 95 ton slot), but I really want a king crab.

I'm hoping King Crab, with a YLW-style arm to accommodate the AC/20s (i.e. loose an actuator to avoid having to split weapons across into the side torsos). Given the generally 'underslung' nature of the King Crab arms, it might be that the verticle-aspect actuator being lost wouldn't produce any drastic issues. The variants don't, well, vary much but frankly the same is true of the Stalker. The KGC-000 is, obviously the default, and the KGC-000b provides a 'pimped' version, with maybe some hardpoint tweaks and the KGC-001 provides the opportunity to add back in the arm actuator to keep a non-AC/20 capable full-arm-movement variant. Sadly, the energy-arm options are a bit too far off in the future for inclusion, but a proper ballistic Assault would be nice.

Edit: Slight edit thanks to Bullseye pointing out the tonnage gap at 95t. Not that that's made much difference in other classes.

I think it could be Zeus or Annihilator. I'm rooting for Annihilator for her ballistic capabilities though.

Both the zeus and the victor are 80 ton mechs we have a 80 ton mech in the Awesome and it vairent mimic the zeus the victor is out classed by the highlander. We have the 85 ton stalker and the battlemaster is unseen and off the table, The highlander is 90 tons mech with gauss, lase, lrm and srm and it jumps. The atlas is the atlas 100 ton bad boy. The only tonnage we really have free is the 95 ton Banshee which has a 3S and 5S version that are really good. But I really want the King Crab 100 ton star league era mech like the Orion can mount 2 gauss are 2 ac 20 were stock with lrm and laser as backup. Was design to out atlas the atlas.

The 100 annihilator was a wolf dragons only mech as was the 100 Ton IMP which also was. If we get King Crab i super happy but if it a 95 Banshee will stil be happy the other two 100 ton mech would be cool to but Zeus and Victor I could do without but all in all as long as we get another assault before the clan mech come it all good.

I am not sure why the post would be locked. Im not calling any one out, im not insulting the devs, im not trolling or causing fights...

I just like reading others' opinions on things like this, and maybe some one overheard something in a podcast about the 20th mech *shrug* or some other source.

It would also be cool if some one like Garth jumped in "BOOM *picture* ZEUS! Enjoy you nerdgasims!" but that wont ever ahppen :D

I was torn, I want the Victor and the King Crab. But being I was once a Lance mate with Legionnaire who drove a King Crab and I won a contest that got a KC design of mine made official!

I don't think too much weight should be put on tonnage as we're currently sitting with a trio of 50 ton medium mechs. I'd be leaning towards the Banshee because of a large variety of variants for them to make use of and a base variant that isn't entirely useless like the Charger; or the Zeus, which is a good mech with a variety of hard points, variants, and a style that lends itself to the current design trends of the art department at MW:O. The Victor would be good but its variants are largely just different guns in the same hard points so I'm leaning away from that.

As for which mech I'd want, despite saying it's useless, the Charger. And close combat. I've won so many games of tabletop with my Charger and a ridiculous butt-load of physical attacks.

What makes you think that the arrival of mech 20 will mark the end of beta?

Because this would be a duplicate thread and the CoC says not to start duplicate threads I believe.

The correct answer for question 2 is so obvious, I wondered if it was a trick question.
