They are about as good as TLC now. Even DayZ handled database breaches better. EA at least has customer support that will respond in a timely manner. They even patch sometimes. At this point I have given up hope on getting the developers to listen to their "testers" Every issue should not need a 300+ page thread and traffic to bog down a website to get attention, even if it is eventually ignored.

Although I am quite confused. Being based in Canada, why haven't we seen any apologies? They have done players/"testers" and the Mechwarrior name a huge disservice. Most Canadians I know are great to talk to both online and real life but here communication from the team is at an all time low.

If the bugs we report don't get fixed, balance issues not addressed and maps played into the ground, what are we testing?
PGI is certainly testing my patience.

With the amount of abuse being hurled at PGI, I don't blame them at all for being silent.

How would you feel if a thousand insults were thrown at you EVERY SINGLE DAY?

As a paramedic, I can relate to that. I am frequently assailed with insults and complaints when I am unable to help a patient. How they expect me to "fix" someone that just took 3 bullets to the head is beyond me, but they complain and sue all the same. I just ignore the complaints unless they have merit and then I deal with the lawyers as best I can. Kind of like PGI.

I get the same thing, but Im nowhere as important as a paramedic, Im just a random cast member at Walt Disney World.
The hate we get when the safety rules disallow a child to get on a ride from the parents is INSANE. Especially when letting the kid on the ride would ENDANGER THEIR SAFETY
Its not uncommon for the kid to start crying (making you feel like an *** anyways) then the parent to go (and if theyre going this far theyre doing it very loudly) "well THAT GUY says you cant ride. THAT GUY wont let you on. Its THAT GUY's fault you cant ride." Add to that the people you DID let in that usually look at you (and usually comment) like youre the biggest ******* in the world.

Uggggg.... I feel for you. That must be one of the worst jobs ever. Knowing you're doing it for a childs safety, and being HATED for it. Especially at the "Happiest place on Earth"

I'd imagine that's what the Devs feel often. Trying to make a fun game for as broad an audience as possible, and sometimes being HATED for it.

Cheers.

Methinks "sometimes" is quite a bit of an understatement.

The OP mentioned something about a database breach?
Did I miss something?

Did you just inadvertently compare MWO to some poor bloke that just took 3 bullets to the head? That's about how I feel every patch.

I am not positive, however, the OP might have been referring to the December 13th incident. A vulnerablility was discovered with the forum software used.

Cheers.

See, the thing about these people is they probably ARE insulted every single day. People act the way they do for a reason. Negativity breeds negativity. You should pity these poor individuals. They are sad, angry individuals who must attack others to make themselves feel the slightest bit better.

Okay it was a bad patch. QA needs some work. They are usually pretty good with the hot fixes, when needed. So I wouldn't be too worried. The game is also labeled "BETA" for a reason. Whats with all the drama. These forums are getting a bit ridiculous sometimes. If the game is a bit unstable for a few days its not like the world is going to end. This is not the finished product.

I'm from Canada, not sure why you would expect a Canadian Corporation to treat you differently then say an American one.

And that's a horribly unbalanced game. But hey, who cares, right? They got fancy hats. Likewise, we got fancy skins and heroes.

Lack of communication?

Good thing you don't play any Japanese based games. You'd probably have a brain aneurysm.

It would help if I knew Japanese. But if you refer to games in the asian market, they tend to have region specific releases where their native region gets the updates first and region specific publishers have much more say in how their version gets updated. NA markets often get a filtered product where important changes are made to the native release first. Now if it's the scale of an indie game then I can understand, however MWO tries to come off as a mainstream title and offers more options to use mc than EA has paid dlc. Even final fantasy had a nice big patch though making the game playable. Can't really complain there, although I hear the change log is huge.

I suggest no more alcohol for the devs till the community is moderately satisfied with a patch.

"Good with hotfixes", yes like the missile hotfix. Best one yet.

Yes, I know it's ridiculous that he is liking his own status, but you aren't helping. You're are contributing to the ****-ing up of this forum with crap like this.
