What am I supposed to be riding when the Clans arrive to slaughter me? An Atlas. No good. I need a proper lambs-to-the-slaughter mech in which I can die with sufficient drama, like an old cowboy western extra.

It's supposed to have a rear-mounted medium laser, but never mind that. Here's how I'd have it.

Spoiler

What does this thing have, that the JR7-F doesn't have? Well, the WLF-1 would have the advantage of 3 energy hardpoints in the arm, which is pretty cool on a fast light mech. The WLF-1A would be faster than the JR7-F and have 2 AMS. The WLF-1B has more firepower than the JR7-F, though most of it is in the torso.

The JR7-F has different advantages compared to either of these, but jump jets is a pretty big factor.

We need more light mechs. We need the Wolfhound.

Clans aren't ever coming, lol.

I do like the model though.

Im going to have to agree. The Wolfhound was my first light i ever piloted in MW4 when it showed up. Since there havent been any lights ive been interested in, ive been silently waiting for this type of mech to appear.

No, please, just no.

Fabulous TT mech is just a horrible choice for MW:O

Firstly, (aside from the lack of 3 versions in time line) is that it is an all energy boat. This leaves it's armament nerfed compared to other lights that can carry missiles and ballistics. Not only boring, but nothing the Jenner, for instance can't already do better.

Next, it's mobility is average, with no JJs, and a relatively slow top speed of 96 kph stock.

It's big advantage over most Lights was it's armor, except in MWO most lights are maxed out to match that. And it has no ECM even to help counter that.

Basically you have a mech that is slower, less maneuverable, no better armored with extremely restricted weapon options. Thanx, but no thanx.

I'd like the Wolfhound, Panther, and Urbanmech, even though none of them will fare particularly well in the MWO meta.

it would still be inferior to the Jenner in every conceivable way.

Granted there are important things to devote resources to, but I don't think a direct comparison to another mech is any reason to keep a chassis out of the game. To point out an example that'll illustrate my point, the Urbanmech. Also the Locust and Flea. Compared to the Jenner, they are all outclassed. For the Urbie, especially if they introduce the ballistic commando.

I get what you are saying, but it's no different that what we already have and no different than some of the other chassis we want. I would play a Wolfhound and I would buy a Wolfhound Hero.

I'd buy one too. I like them. I'd die a lot, but that's normal. I drive Catapults, Blackjacks, and Commandos, I'm used to suffering.

Comparing other lights to the Jenner is a bit unfair. The Jenner is far and away the best light in the game and will probably remain so until the class arrive.

it has the exact same speed as the jenner with that engine since they are the same weight
it may lack missiles points but ballistics are useless on a light
most light's don't have JJs
it's advantage could be more than 3E per arm with fully articulated arms and better twist than the jenner, ECM too maybe
also boring for you maybe, I like energy boats.

Why not eventually add as many 'Mechs as possible to the game. Sure you will have overlap, but who cares. People remember using these 'Mechs from their childhood and have fond memories of using the 'Mech. They should add as many 'Mechs as possible to the game.

To be fair, the wolfhound was a very solid light mech in MW4. One of my favorites and I'm not an energy-weapons guy. Love that little tanky *******.

I'd rather see the Firestarter. With 8 hardpoints (6E and 2 B, it actually stands a reasonable chance against the Jenner, especially if given good hitboxes.

The more 'mechs the better, and we're a bit short on lights so why not.

Bring on the Firestarter, the Panther, the Wolfhound, and the Urbie.

I'd give up my Commandos for a Wasp or Stinger, but I guess those are off the table for the time being (burn, HG, burn!)

Maybe you might see this in 3052 when it was first produced...
