It's only impressive when you forget that Small Lasers are easily outranged by Medium Lasers and brawling them is a dumb idea.

lets call them roflturrets....

I'm sure dual gauss or quad gauss can easily dispatch those from 700+ M... unless of course theres some turrets with ERL...

Now if you post missile turrets.... those might make a difference.

Given they are tiny compared to mechs, perhaps they are unable to be targeted outside of 200 meters.....

That depends. I have a 90%+ accuracy with lasers so if you think i could miss from 700-1000m, if they are in my line of sight, then GG turrets.

They already stated that the turret loadouts could and probably would change post-testing. Un-rustle your jimmies now.

My meaning was they can place them out of line of sight.

Sure, they can, then that would make a great surprise buttsechs / backrage to any pilot who walks over a turret without being aware.... =P

Make them too strong then only heavier mechs will be willing to go in there, which means the end of capping and then its CivilWarTech Online whee, line up everybody!

Except ECM is not balanced, but that's besides the point.

A balance has to be found. If the turrets are too weak, they are trivial, if they are too strong, then light mechs are trivial. It shouldn't negate capping it should just discourage fast capping.

Can the turret be targeted with R key?
Also will the turret provide spot for friendly player by sharing target lock?
