I think the the missile rack is at wrong place at all - the Warhawk missile pod was on the shoulder . The cockpit also looks odd - like the pilot will take sunbaths - huge glass at 45 degrees toward the sky and the rim pass just in the front of the front line of sight ! At least the legs look better then the TimberWolf .

even in the 3050 technical readout it lists the missile launcher as being on the arm. it just happens to show it on the torso. personally, those LRM's are rather pointless. I would rather use another arms off a different machine to just have 4 ERPPCs and work some thing else out with the saved weight.

No mention of the Targeting Computer? Is it going to be like the DDC and just have a 4-ton, 4-crit piece of hardware you remove from the Right Torso?

Dang. You put the LRM on the arm (canonical), so it looks like an ammo clip from a gun on that arm. I wish they did the side torso mount like you see in most photos.

I do wish the LRM was bolted either on the top of the arm or the side of the "hand," as it seems like an odd place to put an LRM system. However.... Now I am itching to unleash particle cannon hell on my targets. Even been practicing my ERPPC work in anticipation for this beautiful monster.

Agree. The rack should be at the very least above the arms. All the previous incarnations put it much closer to the torso.

Wrong - on the shoulder not at the side torso

P.S. But the missile pod is not the problem as BK noted , the cockpit is .

Lookin' good. I'm thinking because of the speed this will be more common than my beloved Dire Wolf.

Not listed on either location. ^_^

that being said, the arms could be beefed up. Overall the chassis looks like it was not fed properly for over a week and lost weight.

Looks good. But that missile pod...

I'd mount it on the exterior of the left arm instead, or have a horizontal launcher mounted on the bottom of the arm. That thing looks as tacked on as can be as if to intentionally increase the size of the arm hitbox.

Ironically every other mech has received "LIMBS TOO FAT" critiques. :)

To be fair, I can see that as both a problem and something that could be worked around.

For example, if the SRMs mounted up there you wouldn't be able to aim them.
But, nothing says that PGI can't put it up there for LRMs and under (preferably on the side of) the arm for SRMs/Streaks/etc. That's what I would have done if I were designing this.

Alternatively, I would have straddled the launchers around the arms. Like the bottom rack here, or the side, or the top.

Arm weapons in MWO have to be placed on the lower arm (on mechs that have lower arm actuators) because they have to move to point in the same direction that the arms are pointing. Now, could the missile launcher have been placed along the outside of the lower arm instead of hanging below it? Probably. But no upper-arm mounted weapons.

EDIT: Also, if they made the geometry for the 3D model to look exactly as the 'canon' TT sourcebook images, they might as well remove the lower arm actuators because that thing wouldn't be able to move its arms on a horizontal axis.

Oh, pretty. I have to say besides the Timberwolf, PGI has done an excellent job bringing these 'mechs to life.

I expected the torso to have a sharper look. It's like the torso is taller that it should be.

Maybe it's just the angles.

Something about this looks... off.

It's too chunky for starters. Upper torso is too large, arms too wide, and legs too fat and short. Has the opposite problem of the Timber Wolf, in other words.

and is missing the extra hump above the "hood". Said hood is too thick and too high above the cockpit, as well.

It will be so easy to neuter this mech by shooting off its oversized arms which contain pretty much ALL the weapons. I may stop at the Storm Crow package now.

Dire Wolf will do everything this does, better.

So far PGI is batting 50% on their redesigns. The heavies aren't turning out so well.
