Welcome to yet another installment of news and entertainment from around the Free Worlds League.


Loss of Berenson

Despite herculean efforts by FWLM forces counterattacking Berenson, the world has officially been deemed lost to the forces of Davion. Distinguishing themselves in battle, Templar Mercenary Corp helped push the tide leading to the evacuation of all remaining FWLM forces. The population of the water rich, agricultural world of Berenson was largely spared from the horrors of war, but word is already spreading of civilian reprisals and mass arrests of leading FWL loyalists in the capital of Buena Vista.


Attack on Wasat called off

Following heavy fighting that laid waste to much of the already ravaged world of Wasat, FWLM forces have largely withdrawn from the sector. The arrival of large numbers of forces from Head Hunters of Davion precipitated this phased withdrawal.

The occupation liaison adviser in that sector, Lieutenant Colonel Varik, is quoted as saying "Suffering minimal losses, FWLM elements attacking Wasat have accomplished their mission by crippling Davion defenses and are strategically being redeployed to maximize our attack capabilities elsewhere"


Wing liberated

Attacks led by Black Widow Company Veteran Mercs have restored control of Wing and all four moons to the Free Worlds League. Old Star league germanium mining facilities are being actively repaired and large-scale production is expected to resume in the coming weeks.


Alhena safe

Alarm was raised as Steiner raids threatened the trade routes supplying Alhena with food during the planet's long winter. The world was well garrisoned by the FWLM and the unit Seraphim distinguished themselves through routing several aborted Steiner invasions.


Alliance with Liao in the works?

The Black Widow's are again in the news with reports that they interdicted and defended the world of Scarborough from opportunistic Liao sponsored raids. Following the failed attack, reports are coming in on a possible cessation of hostilities along the border in order for both Houses to counter the growing aggression from the Federated Commonwealth.


Null-G Dancing with the Stars Update

After pulling off a stunning display, Lucina Eastwick from planet Fletcher was voted off the show in what some are calling a game-changing upset. Plenty of people are furious at this unexpected turn of events and the #saveLucina is trending on over 30 worlds.

Inside sources say that the decision was made not by popular demand, but rather by edict from the chief executive of Columbia Vidtape Productions whose own daughter is competing in the series.

The planet is currently being held, but bracing for more enemy waves.

Davion's second wave of attacks have begun against Ascuncion. Any and all reserves are needed on this front. The Seraphim are standing strong but the FedCommies aren't giving up and going home yet.

FedCom Infighting

Several misunderstanding seem to be the cause of recent clashes between forces loyal to House Steiner and House Davion. Relations are being quickly patched up in order to provide a united front against the enemies of the Federated Commonwealth.


FWLM Reorganization
As part of a general shakeup of the FWLM in order to promote efficiency, the Captain General has announced a policy of increasing centralization between FWLM and allied Merc groups. Strong communication channels are being opened between Seraphim, Marik Gunfighter Alliance and 4th Regulon Hussar leadership and closer ties are expected in the near future.


Capellan Ceasefire in Trouble?

The Capellan Confederation has reported small scale raids on the border world of Frond leading to the loss of three defense installations. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the 313 Czechoslovac Mech company has led these assaults. Central command of the FWLM are in frantic talks with their Capellan counterparts to prevent the fraying of the newly established ties. Fingers point to the Duchy of Andurien as the sponsors of these raids, with strong opposition from those quarters being voiced in Parliament today against the already shaky ceasefire agreement with the CCAF.


Sarna March Battles rage

The world of Wazan is the latest casualty of the continued FWLM invasion of the Sarna March. After devastating Wazat, League forces have regrouped and are now focused on pushing all remaining Davion forces off planet. Things are looking bad for the AFFS as incoming reinforcements seem to have little impact against the onslaught.

The Davion counter-offensive is now attempting to conquer Ascuncion following the annexation of Zion. The famed allied merc company Seraphim are reportedly standing strong as reinforcements from the 15th Marik Militia are being redeployed to the world.


Steiner losses mount

Cavanaugh is on the verge of falling to the FWL. Heavy fighting has led to the withdrawal of most LCAF personnel as the Clan invasion continues to stretch defenses to the breaking point in several sectors. Loss of the world of Somerset to Clan Jade Falcon has some surmising that the events of this invasion may one day make an excellent vidtape adaptation.


Draconis / FRR ceasefire in the works

Early reports from unnamed sources have indicated that a general ceasefire is taking place along the border worlds of the Draconis Combine with the Free Raselhague Republic. The clan invasion forces have taken a toll of outer defenses of both Great Houses. It is only a matter of time before the ceasefire is announced as relations between the two powers have often been quite cordial in recent years.

I think the Capellans need to understand we share a common enemy of Davion.

The Seraphim would like to extend special thanks to the Desert Rats (and to any group whom we didn't notice wile repairing our sensor arrays) for coming in to save Asuncion.

Also, thanks to all crosscoms that have taken place.

Alas, our efforts to take Wazon have failed. A last minute rush from Davion has foiled all our hard work. We'll get them next time.

Cannot agree. Two Front Warfare will not end well for us ... I hope you got nothing against Lederhosen and Sausages or we would have a Problem here

Anti-bionic Sentiment Grows
Following reports that the mysterious invaders known as the clans use eugenic breeding programs to make “Superior” human beings and utilize bionic implants, citizens across the league are showing their disgust with the Clans. Some are saying that clanners have forfeit the right to even be called human. "Freebirth", a clan slogan meant to be used derisively, is being printed on T-Shirts for sale all across the Inner Sphere as a gesture of pride in the natural way of reproduction.


Urgent Update on Wazan
In the last hour before an Inner Sphere wide ceasefire was called the Robinson Rangers pushed hard to retake 10 key strongholds across the planet of Wazan. These victories along with a renewed push by the Davion affiliated merc Aces Wild rallied the AFFS and their demoralized defenders to push the FWLM off-planet. In the wake of the disaster, noted war critic Naomi Chomsky was quick to blame the incident on the failures of imperialism as a way to solve problems with unruly neighbours.


Loss of Face for the Chancellor
Rumours spread that the Cappellan Chancellor is very displeased with the loss of two worlds to the FWL. Despite calls for a ceasefire, the memo did not reach the MarineMechs who quickly overcame all resistance to secure the planet of Fronde. Citizens across the League rejoice and hope for many more such ceasefires with the Capellans.

There were no celebrations on Sian as several public executions for disloyalty and cowardice took place. It has been reported by Liao State Media that a senior member of the Strategios of the Sian Commonality has officially been demoted to servitor status. Analysts predict it is only a matter of time before the tentative ceasefire between the FWLM and CCAF completely breaks down and active warfare resumes.


Heroes of Asuncion
The FWLM stood their ground and repelled numerous attempted invasions of Asuncion. With the last of the Fedcom forces pulling out a parade is planned to honor distinguished mechwarriors of the Desert Rats and Seraphim units.
